Even though the they had several lines going, and the line was contained within the store - each person in line felt like they took close to 5 minutes to get served. So definitely expect a wait even if there are a handful of people in the restaurant. As for the food, I got the pastrami, and brisket combo. The pastrami was honestly super underwhelming. Yes it was relatively juicy, and decently flavorful, the texture was wholly unappealling. When eaten in single pieces, it's not bad, but layered

Absolutely worth trying! The sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Every course was enjoyable, and the quality was impressive for the price. UNDERRATED. They are making some of the freshest and most delicious pasta in nyc! They cook the pasta perfectly and all of their sauces are tasty and delicious. The toppings are great and I highly recommend getting their burrata, it’s huge! The order is made fresh in-front of you and is usually done in about 5 minutes. This is the perfect spot for a quick meal that tastes like it was made in a fancy restaurant. The portions are large so I usually get one and share it but if you are really hungry

I recently visited Beauty & Essex and wanted to leave a review because the experience was exceptional. From the ambience to the service and meal, I had a lovely experience. The food was excellent from start to finish. Every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and worth talking about long after dinner. That was a meal I won’t forget, especially the lamb chops. Had such a great dining experience at Dhamaka recently. Our server, Shubham, took wonderful care of us and guided us through the menu with excellent recommendations for a fabulous meal. We started with the cocktails, Avocado Avatar and Ghee Whiz, both of which were fantastic and such fun, creative drinks. A bagel is a bagel, but a bagel nosh with some caviar and friends? Well that sounds like Russ & Daughters Cafe. This is my go to place when I want to impress upon a neophyte to the city what an upscale deli experience can be. The bagels are great. The cured fish are absolutely delightful. The food was good! But I was not a fan of the drinks. The pornstar martini was more so a passionfruit mimosa, pure prosecco! It was so bubbly rather than smooth. Any good bar serves the prosecco on the side. Our waitress and all the staff were amazing though and the view is worth the $25 drinks. Great music as well. Just really bummed by the drink.

Fantastic spot to remote work in NYC LES. Wifi was fast, coffee was good, snacks for munching and lots of outlets. This diner gave us the perfect classic American diner experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Beautiful restaurant in downtown. Loved casual and friendly service with amazing music. Feels like you are transported to France. French onion soup was good, but on salty side. Cocktail (lychee martini and mojito mocktail) were way too sweet. Service was friendly and efficient. Will come back soon.

Right off the bat, I was really impressed with the street steak empanadas. The empanada shell was flaky - reminiscent of a crossaint - and the flavor of the filling on its own was quite good! A few of the beef chunks at times was a little tough for my preference but I'm pretty sensitive to texture. Still it was still an easy 8/10 kind of empanada The beef empanada was really good as well. This place was delicious!!! Would definitely come again, the fried chicken was crispy and juicy and the waffles were just right. You can pour your own syrup so you don’t have to worry about not enough sweetness! The pink and white was buttercream if you want to add a little more to the waffles. The home fries were okay, seasoned, just wanted to try it out but my personal preference would be the regular fries. The vibe of the place is great! We went on a weekday so there was no waiting. We ordered the Pink Slipper, Pear Love and Girl Friday. All three cocktails were spot on and delicious. The path to the speakeasy looks a bit shady but it’s perfectly fine. Cool concept. Very nice space. Most of the drinks were pretty standard however. They also didn’t have any more funky type ingredients. That said - one of the 5 cocktails we got was an absolute knockout. Japanese whiskey base with elderflower liqueur was the primary body & forget the other parts but jesus was that good. Insanely good smash burgers!!! The steak are caramelized, the sauce is delicious, the buns are savory and buttery, the jalapeño gives it a little twist. The hot dog was also delicious. The fries are good but not that crazy, onion rings are really nice. The place is really nice to sit down. I am glad I got to try their fries for free at a food conference because as someone from The Netherlands who grew up eating Belgian fries regularly, this doesn't even come close. This is an American interpretation of Belgian fries which I didn't think you can mess up but they did.
