I enjoyed the small menu and intimate feel of the restaurant. The food feels very homestyle, simple but done well, comforting but not heavy. They can be a little heavy-handed with the salt but it's not too bad, clearly im still rating it 5 stars because they definitely would come back when they rotate the menu. It was an excellent experience at Philippe Chow as we had a Group Dinner that was outstanding from the company that attended and how accommodating the staff is! The restaurant has a area for sitting if you want to eat and another section if you want to drink at the bar. We had a nice lady who attended us and was quick with our orders. The food was pretty good. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. I thought it was cool they brought the burger with the toppings on the side so it didn’t get soggy and you can add it yourself after. The food is made fresh everyday so I recommend trying it out.

Donnybrook was a fun place for a nightcap, but it definitely wasn't my favorite bar that I went to while in NYC. It didn't feel like it had that much personality or a unique identity, and nothing about it really stuck out. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing bad about it, there just wasn't anything particularly notable. I would recommend as a place to wrap up your night however.
