NANA is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and spotless. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I tried several items, including the tres leches cake, fresh juice, and traditional Colombian dishes, and everything was outstanding. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and every dish was made with care. The customer service was just as impressive friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Trendy locale offering Pan-Asian dining and weekend brunch, plus wine and cocktails.
The BEST matcha mochi waffle and black sesame french toast I’ve had in NYC so far! Made with so much love by a husband-and-wife duo at this adorable Japanese brunch/izakaya spot in Williamsburg. Lawrence is a talented baker who makes amazing scones, and Aya creates the Japanese comfort food she grew up having with an American twist. You can feel the care in every detail, from the decor to the food itself. Even the bento boxes were designed by Aya and the stickers were cut by hand one by one. So

Wow, just wow. Most amazing food I have gotten in New York since arriving. The chicken was tasty, warm and seasoned perfectly. The pita was so fresh and fluffy. I also need to mention the eggplant salad and the hummus - both so amazing. The place is tiny but perfect, still has room for eating inside and outside. Perfect for grab and go for an easy lunch or even catering. The staff are so kind and welcoming too, it’s a very authentic experience.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem with Big Heart! If you are looking for an authentic New York pizza experience, La Traviata Pizzeria is a must-visit. Don't let the size of the shop fool you—it might be a small local spot, but the service and flavor are absolutely massive. Here is why this place stands out: The Food: The pizza is incredible. The food was horrible. Two stars, vs one, because service was okay at best and atmosphere was fine. It seemed clean too. I got the sourdough breakfast sandwich and asked if it could be heated. The man working at the front desk said yes. He took it, turned around and appeared to be heating it but what I received is what’s pictured in the photo: a cold, overly processed piece of garbage I couldn’t eat. Like McDonald’s but worse. The bread was so bad - not what I’d expect from a bakery. Bland, no

Terra Thai is a gem in the East Village. I’ve been coming here for two to three years now, and every single visit is delicious and amazing. Ong runs this family-oriented hole-in-the-wall with real warmth, and you can feel the care she puts into everything. I’ve been to almost every coffee shop in the neighborhood and this is one of my favorites. They have the best baked sweet treats (which are vegan but truly don’t taste like it at all). Their bowls and sandwiches are also excellent. The coffee is decent. But the prices are unbeatable.

Super cute spot! Easy to make a reservation for a Sunday afternoon, and didn’t have to wait to be seated once I arrived. It’s warm, festive, cheerful, and not overly loud. A relatively small space. Service is quick and friendly. I really enjoyed the mulled wine and the breakfast scrambler with toast on the side (scrambled eggs with cheese, tomatoes, and side salad). I came here twice during my recent short visit to New York and really enjoyed my drinks. I got the iced black sesame latte which was nicely flavored, and their seasonal pistachio orange halva latte. I had asked for the halva latte to be iced but received it hot. The employee kindly offered to remake it but I just took it as is and still thought it was very tasty. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again!

My friends and I had dinner here before seeing a show at Radio City, and it was absolutely lovely. Now, I don’t think we were exactly a common demographic there, as in we don’t have business dinners or wear suits or dabble in the stock market in a I-made-out-great-in-2008 kind of way, but nonetheless, we felt super welcome and had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious! The appetizers were reminiscent of a recent trip to Aska, and the portions were excellent.

We started with the mouhamara, beef kibbeh, and sfeeha. It was my first time trying both the beef kibbeh and sfeeha, I enjoyed both but liked beef kibbeh a bit more. While the mouhamara was enjoyable, it didn’t quite match what I was hoping for. For the entrées, we had the sheesh barak, yakhnet sabanegh, rice hashwi & chicken, and all of them were delicious and very tasty. Dessert was the only part that felt a bit underwhelming for me. The staff members are always friendly and welcoming. It does get busy, and seating inside or near Amy’s Bread can be difficult to find. However, it is an amazing experience every time we visit! Had high hopes for this place based on other reviews, however the BBQ chicken bowl ($12 after tax, before tip) was genuinely horrible. The sauce tastes worse than grocery-store bought, like not fresh at all and way too sweet/artificial. The whole bowl was drowning in it - it’s not like the chicken was marinated and cooked with the sauce, it’s just poured over everything. The other ingredients tasted fine/very “homemade” otherwise. Ive been here quite a few times and i always order the salmon and its good but today, I ordered the garlic chicken and was very disappointed not only with the chicken but with the service as well. As you can see the photo, the chicken is a soupy, foamy, mess- boiled and rubbery. They have 4 flavors of gluten free bagels, including cinnamon raisin!! They have salads, quesadillas, sandwiches, tacos, muffins, and lots of snacks. We really enjoyed our time here @ brunch. Our waiter was fun & the place is beautiful. The Super Coffee is a boozy delight: Jameson, Baileys, Gran Marnier, Ice, Classic Coffee Cup. Went here with a big group (~10 people) and they handled it like pros! Service was great and we waited a little for our food, but not too long considering the size of our group and the fact they brought everyone's dishes out at once.
