I recently just came there and the food was good but one of my stew chicken pieces were a little warm everything else was hot. The rice and peas were good and you get a good portion of food. The atmosphere was laid back, the music was playing all the time and the service was on point. I would try another dish from this establishment.

First of all the food doesn’t taste that good for the prices they are charging. And you still have to pay extra $2 to get gravy on your food. The lady literally gave me dry rice and chicken because my food was already $19 for one plate and she wanted an extra $2 for gravy. The bbq chicken literally had gravy in it and she took out the meat with not even one spoon of gravy. This is my go-to place for roti. They are big, delicious and VERY reasonably priced. My family that lives upstate won't come to Brooklyn without stopping here. And if I'm going upstate I'd better stop here first because they are ordering about 8 rotis for me to bring them. They have a pound cake that is generously sliced, soooo moist and tasty. The food is good. Some of the best jerk chicken I've had. Everything else? Not so good. Good Hope staff, specifically Kiki, lean heavily into the stereotype of Jamaican restaurant staff. She gets an attitude when you point out that she brought you food with salad when you specifically said no salad. Her response -- "Can't you just scrape it off?" Medium oxtail dish is actually a small. I get cutting corners for profit, but for a small $21 oxtail dish, i should get more than 7-8 pieces of oxtails. The meat had no flavor but it was very tender. The vibe of the place was really nice. Great atmosphere and energy. However, the service was very slow. Our food took a long time to come out, and the appetizers actually arrived after the main dishes, which was frustrating. Definitely up there in quality and taste. My friends and I ended up there because they met the owner at a gym. He told us to come and I said I would be 100% honest. Deliciously authentic Haitian cuisine. Came here per the recommendation of my Haitian friend and it did not disappoint! Portions sizes were large and great for sharing with a group. So many dishes I cannot recommend enough. We ordered the fried goat, fried pork, oxtail and Legumes, which all came with rice and small sides, and were highly tasty. This is definitely the best guyanese restaurant and bar I been to in The Bronx New York. I recommend their chicken curry and beef curry it’s really delicious and their jerk chicken hits also I would have gave them 5 out of 5 stars but had to give them 4 because the menu prices aren’t the same as they charge you in person hopefully they updated the prices on their menu.

I wasn’t feeling well and decided to stop by to get soup. I bought a small red pea soup which had beef, potatoes, carrots and dumplings. It was absolutely delicious. The dumplings weren’t too hard, it was just the right texture. The beef was cooked to perfection. The serving size was perfect for me. I can’t wait to go back to try their other dishes.

Horrible bedside manners. I walked in a lady sat there did not greet me and once I walk into the counter she said to me. let me tell you something if you want dinner. we do not have any cabbage or plantains and continue to do whatever she was doing so I walked out I would never spend my money in a place where someone does not make me feel welcome.
