I recently just came there and the food was good but one of my stew chicken pieces were a little warm everything else was hot. The rice and peas were good and you get a good portion of food. The atmosphere was laid back, the music was playing all the time and the service was on point. I would try another dish from this establishment.

First of all the food doesn’t taste that good for the prices they are charging. And you still have to pay extra $2 to get gravy on your food. The lady literally gave me dry rice and chicken because my food was already $19 for one plate and she wanted an extra $2 for gravy. The bbq chicken literally had gravy in it and she took out the meat with not even one spoon of gravy. The carrot cake taste like sponge and you have to pay for bags to hold your food…….i rather stay home and eat my dogs food t

This modest nook, known for its jumbo roti, supplies familiar Indian meals for takeout.
This is my go-to place for roti. They are big, delicious and VERY reasonably priced. My family that lives upstate won't come to Brooklyn without stopping here. And if I'm going upstate I'd better stop here first because they are ordering about 8 rotis for me to bring them. They have a pound cake that is generously sliced, soooo moist and tasty. Only buying one slice is a huge mistake. I usually buy at least 3. I promise, you will not be disappointed. They offer friendly service too. Love this p

The food is good. Some of the best jerk chicken I've had. Everything else? Not so good. Good Hope staff, specifically Kiki, lean heavily into the stereotype of Jamaican restaurant staff. She gets an attitude when you point out that she brought you food with salad when you specifically said no salad. Her response -- "Can't you just scrape it off?" They repeatedly don't listen to simple instructions and try to rush you. The elderly lady is nice though even Kiki bullies her. Don't let me find a bet

Medium oxtail dish is actually a small. I get cutting corners for profit, but for a small $21 oxtail dish, i should get more than 7-8 pieces of oxtails. The meat had no flavor but it was very tender. For the money i paid, i had high hopes that they would at least put their foot in the dish. I didnt get why they were so cheap with the cabbage, i mean its the cheapest thing in the order. I also got a side of candied yams. What do they cook it in??? Strange flavor and it tasted kinda tough like th

Food was delicious. Has gone down a bit in the past few years. Use to come here all the time. Food was always fresh but the pastries not so much. Service is still good tho. Don’t eat as much of this food as I use to moved further from the area. Roti and dhal puri is delicious.

I absolutely love this spot! Any time I am in the Bronx I have to stop in and get my favorite curry chicken with rice(lathered in that curry gravy) and peas and cabbage😋…. My wife’s favorite dish is the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage of course. Their fried chicken goes well with brown stew chicken gravy. I’ve had their jerk chicken, curry goat, brown stewed chicken, Mac and cheese is also really good. I have been meaning to try the salmon and their shrimp, I think that will be next. I wi

The vibe of the place was really nice. Great atmosphere and energy. However, the service was very slow. Our food took a long time to come out, and the appetizers actually arrived after the main dishes, which was frustrating. Since the gratuity is already included, it felt like the level of service didn’t quite match expectations. The food itself was okay, but the oxtail was disappointing and had very little meat. Overall, good vibes, but the service and portions could definitely be improved.

Good vibe. Great DJ. Good/decent food. HORRIBLE customer service. I came with my partner on a Saturday night at 10pm. The young woman waiting our table, we had to CHASE HER DOWN; for the bill, some napkins and a straw we asked for at the very beginning of her waiting our table. She did not care. Come to find out, they get an automatic $10 tip for every table waited; this explains her lack of respect and professionalism. When we finally get ahold of her, she’d forgotten any requests. I first visited this restaurant a week before my birthday in February. We went straight to the bar and got some akra, pikliz, and 3 drinks. The drinks were 🔥🔥, the bartender, understood the assignment. He was very nice and helped me choose a drink to my liking after telling him that i preferred sweet drinks. Pu$$y talk and frozen twisted Margarita are the best in the cocktails menu, in my opinion. In March we went back to celebrate our friend's birthday. We had a great time, good vibes; great

Definitely up there in quality and taste. My friends and I ended up there because they met the owner at a gym. He told us to come and I said I would be 100% honest. The oxtail is fall of the bone tender. The rice and the gravy complement each other well. It was well worth the trip and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Low-key establishment serving up African & Caribbean eats with an emphasis on Haitian fare.
Deliciously authentic Haitian cuisine. Came here per the recommendation of my Haitian friend and it did not disappoint! Portions sizes were large and great for sharing with a group. So many dishes I cannot recommend enough. We ordered the fried goat, fried pork, oxtail and Legumes, which all came with rice and small sides, and were highly tasty. Even amongst four hungry people, we left with full stomachs and leftovers.

# **Kriss West Indian Restaurant: A Truly Disappointing Experience** My recent visit to Kriss West Indian Restaurant was, regrettably, one of the most underwhelming experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we stepped through the door, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We stood awkwardly for several minutes before anyone ackn

I visited this restaurant on Sunday afternoon around 1:00 PM, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. First, I called several times to place an order over the phone, but every call went straight to voicemail. When I arrived, I mentioned it to the employee at the counter. She seemed distracted, handed me a menu, and walked away. When I explained the phone issue, she simply said, "Oh really? Sorry, it's dead," with no concern or effort to help. After placing

So; a lot yo tell you about Soldiers. At least this Soldiers buffet. I have heard there is another one Nostrad ave (and maybe more). Even if I don't have to get food, I still pop in to get something. Upon entry, there is plenty of seating and you will never want for a seat (at least the years I've come to this place) Every time I have visited, the staff is either behind the register or in the kitchen. Now let's get onto the food. Moist, appetizing and we'll seasoned. The favorites (ie: sweet

The food here gets 4-5 stars (depending on what you order, and that you actually get that). Customer service is okay in person, but not so on the phone. There seems to be an insufficient number of people working there, so the lady who answers is very brusk on the phone - which forces you to just place orders in person. When you're there, its a whole new experience. They seem to have a dedicated clientele, so the wait is always long. The physical location gets three stars. It's apparent that t

I’m very disappointed with my recent order from Bebe Fritay. I ordered food yesterday, and unfortunately, it was not fresh at all. Everything was good to throw away. The meat was extremely hard and full of oil. I ordered a legume, and normally in a Haitian restaurant, legume comes with rice and beans or plantains, I also instruct them to add write rice and beans. However, I only received a small bowl of legume by itself, with nothing to eat it with. It honestly tasted like it had been cooked on

This is my 2nd time eating here. They need multiple people to provide food quality evaluations before it gets put out being that it’s so many options. I shared food and didn’t realize until I was eating the food that the chicken still had feathers on it, mainly because it was a cover in sauce. That made me nauseous once I seen it, almost threw up. Who’s to say the chicken was cleaned properly?! This establishment needs people who would like to be at work or at least somewhat friendly to customer

ordered a cheeseburger with seasoned fries. the fries were good. the burger was inedible. the cheese was not melted, but somehow the burger was overcooked and so dry. the brioche bun was as hard as a brick, not even joking. i think it was stale and then overcooked bc i’ve never had a brioche bun be hard as rocks before. i could barely bite through it and gave up after two bites. i hate wasting my money on bad food. super disappointed. won’t be ordering from here again.

The food is good. I don’t like the fact the the server and the cashier are the same people. No gloves are worn to serve food. No hair nets are worn also. The young man whom served me had a hat on and no gloves. The young woman whom was serving someone else braids went all into the ladies food. I just stood there and watched. Thank goodness I only was getting chicken patties.

This is definitely the best guyanese restaurant and bar I been to in The Bronx New York. I recommend their chicken curry and beef curry it’s really delicious and their jerk chicken hits also I would have gave them 5 out of 5 stars but had to give them 4 because the menu prices aren’t the same as they charge you in person hopefully they updated the prices on their menu.

Food is honestly great. But It makes no sense that my mother was waiting in here for an hour and 15 mins for bake and saltfish !!!!! This is a dish we know to go in and out for !!! It makes no sense that she’s been there for that long. You guys need to do way better !!!!
