I am extremely concerned about the food quality and food safety practices at Gloria's. On May 29 at approximately 8:43 PM, I ordered a chicken roti. Immediately upon receiving it, I noticed the roti was soggy and the potatoes had an unusual odor. After taking a few bites of the roti skin and chicken, I opened the roti further and discovered that the curry chicken and potatoes were noticeably sour. Food containing chicken should never have a sour smell or taste, and this raised serious concerns

I ordered the curry chicken from Fusion East and immediately became concerned when I cut into several pieces and found the meat to be noticeably pink throughout the center. The appearance was alarming enough that I stopped eating the meal because I wasn’t comfortable taking the risk. Whether the chicken was technically cooked or not, no customer should have to question the safety of their food. The presentation and quality control were simply not where they should be. I have attached photos so

Great service, great food and atmosphere. The best Puerto Rican cuisine in El Barrio. The pernil and rice are so good, the bacalaitos amazing and the best so far are the Mallorcas shipped weekly from Puerto Rico. Can’t get more authentic than that! Drinks are great as well. The staff is great and the owner is prime example of amazing customer service! Highly recommended 10/10

I came here for brunch with my boyfriend, and we had an amazing time! The food definitely did not disappoint. He ordered the cheesy grits with fried catfish, and I had the saltfish and bake—both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, the portions were satisfying, and the overall experience was great. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend checking this place out!

The food here is good and very affordable. One of the reasons why I come here. Also, it's self-service, so you can serve yourself. No attitude included. As far as the atmosphere, a lot of older people usually eat at this spot, and usually parking sucks.

I just bought the Jerk Chicken Meal today, staff was really good and nice service. It's just that the food didn't really convince me, was not bad but it's not like the food was delicious either so it's like okay, anyways they give you a really good portion, for those 2 plates we payed 36 dollars. We tried the beef patties and they were 10/10, really tasteful and crunchy outside.

This place is AMAZING. My students and I made this place a part of the NYC college visit tour. Can I tell you that they loved it? Jasmines and the Greek restaurant ended their easy gravitation towards fast food. Yay! Kelly was our server, and she is a Nubian Princess. I believe Austin was the young man who reserved a place for us at the last minute. Thank you, sir for your kindness. We feasted on coconut salmon, ox-tails, Jerk chicken, Jamaican rice, and fried calamari. The joy and smiles in thi

Picked up 2 orders for dinner. Embarrassing!! Do you people eat food like this?? Close down and do the public a favor. You don’t take people hard earned money and give them heated unfrozen shrimp with broccoli microwaved or whatever with butter and salt!! And since when does any Caribbean establishment sells roast duck chowmein looking like that. Horrible!! And that’s not white rice!!! That’s brown rice ! The homeless won’t even want this. Trust me!

Wow - I have never had vegan soul food and this was so incredible. I got a bowl loaded up with everything the person behind the counter recommended (who was very kind!) and it was amazing. It does get crowded in there but so worth it. They weight food by the pound, so for my bowl + a bottle of water it was $19.

Juici Patties came to the states & I'm here for it. After driving for nearly an hour from Staten Island to Brooklyn to try them, I'm happy to say it was well worth it. Why is that significant? Because I drove 5 hours from MA to Staten Island to visit friends. Then hopped back in the car for the island experience. So no matter what you heard, they taste just like the ones in Jamaica. The staff moves fast & efficiently. And the place smells nostalgic. #ifyouknowyouknow

My wife and I ordered Mac and cheese. Extremely dry and had no flavor. I had the glazed salmon. Dry as well. I ordered pepper steak but didn’t receive it, just the rice. Pleasantly surprised the food was authentic and delicious. Curry goat was 8/10, had good flavor and tender, oxtail was 7.5/10, jerk chicken, curry chicken foot all 8/10. The brown stew red snapper was really good, a bit dry but it is a hot bar so…their potato salad was good to me too, but the peas in it weren’t cooked properly, wish they offered a onion free option. Love that they offer Quinoa and calaloo rice, both good. For the price and the quality of food it’s worth a trip to me. The place i

I told the young lady at the register that it appeared that the meat had fallen off the bones(which is a good thing) but the server wasn’t paying attention when portioning out the goat. There's a serious safety issue regarding your beans. After consuming them, my children and I developed food poisoning symptoms, including stomach cramps and diarrhea. We ate the beans from the small container and upon opening the large one, I noticed the beans were inexplicably bubbly and foamy, even while cold. It was also leaking from the sealed container. I found similar complaints from the past month, suggesting this is a recurring issue that needs immediate attention. This is very dangerous

I always pass by this spot when I’m on Flatbush Avenue near the Junction, but I’d never gone in until now. I was craving doubles since I hadn’t had them in a while, and y’all… they were so good. I thought maybe they tasted that amazing because it had been so long, but my little brother loved them too and even wanted more. Kisses to the chef for inventing, the now legendary, PEPPERPOT PATTY. OMG amazing 10/10. The crust - flaky, buttery, soft. The meat inside - tenderism. Soon as you buss that ting open and the pepperpot smell hit you, there’s no going back. As a true Guyanese I can appreciate the authenticity of this patty. I also purchased fried fish, Mac & cheese and curry goat with white rice. My toddlers enjoyed the fish and mac. The fish is fresh & crunchy. The curry goat was decent. Definitely would recomme

What a fabulous fine. Chicken jerky is spicy enough that they kindly add chicken stew to mellow a bit “just in case”. The rice and beans are scrumptious for she adds just a smidgen of coconut milk. Surprisingly, although I have eaten here many times before, the curry chicken did not suit my taste this time. I couldn’t quite pinpoint the issue, but it seemed a bit too greasy for my palate. I don’t usually leave reviews, but Datz Deli deserves one. The food is seriously amazing. The mac patties are absolutely heavenly, and honestly everything I’ve tried on the menu has been top tier. But the chicken curry? Hands down the best I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot. It’s crazy that a deli is making curry this good. The food at Rockaway Roti Shop is decent, but the customer service really needs improvement. Staff should be more patient and nicer instead of rushing customers when ordering. The prices are also too high for the portion sizes you get. Everything feels overpriced for what you’re actually receiving. Even the mauby drink is too expensive. I'll say right off the bat the food looks absolutely amazing, but to be honest looks were definitely a little deceiving here. The Oxtail Grilled Cheese honestly didn't have much taste.
