Solid dive bar with good music, friendly bartenders and many specials. This bar belongs to the same owner of Down The Hatch, Off the Wagon and a few other bars in the region. During the week all drinks are half price until 7pm. After 7pm they offer different specials. This is one of my favorite bars in the West Village area along with Down the Hatch. I recommend their wings, they never disappoint!

Popped in for a quick lunch and throughly enjoyed my meal and service. I ordered the warm bowl and it was so fresh, simple and delicious. The service was so warm and personable too. Groove NYC was such a vibe 🎶🔥 Paid $10 to get in and honestly worth it for the music alone. The live show started around 9:30pm and the energy stayed strong until 1am. Really talented musicians, great sound, and the kind of place where you just get lost in the music. Cool attitude at the door too — very classic New York energy without being rude. The whole place felt authentic, relaxed, and fun. Good crowd, good vibes, great music. Definitely a spot to experience when in NYC. Insta Markos_

Upscale yet casual American restaurant for seasonal, wood-fired dishes, handmade pastas, and pizzas.
Second visit to Loring Place, and while there is genuinely a lot to appreciate here, it left me with mixed feelings. On the plus side, the commitment to fresh, seasonal, high-quality ingredients is evident and commendable. The Asparagus Fries are an absolute must-order — a standout dish that lives up to the hype. The beet salad was equally well done. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The drinks were pleasant but nothing that particularly stood out or warranted a special mention. Where i

Neighborhood joint for Mexican food by a native chef-owner, plus mezcals & other agave spirits.
La Contenta Oesta was decorated with flags, flowers and two drummers playing loud music. Located on Sixth Avenue and 11th Street, it created a feeling of a fiesta in the neighborhood. Not surprisingly as the first match of the FIFA World Cup Soccer was being played in Mexico's famous Estadio Esteca with Mexico facing South Africa. Inside the restaurant was buzzing with customers. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming here. The tables are close together but I liked the cozy vibe. The Banter Big Breakfast was AMAZING! Everything I wanted. My partner got the BYOB and it also hit the spot. We didn’t have reservations and waited about 30 mins. In the meantime, we walked across the street to Myers of Keswick to pass the time. Highly recommend!

How do I leave 10 stars for service? The two gentlemen who worked here tonight were the kindest, sweetest ones I met so far I service industry in New York. I’m not a big Indian food eater, I basically always eat paneer tikka with garlic naan and mango lassi. They made me a plate with few more items, and were super nice in explaining what was what. Prices are beyond reasonable and unbeatable for New York. It’s not a white tablecloth type of dining, but there are tables and place is very clean. I

A very unique bar with an interesting curated menu. The drinks are based on spices, leading to unique recipes, had The Vanilla a bourbon based drink that’s bitter, tropical and quite potent, also The Basil a gin based cocktail with a savory profile with tomato notes. The rest of the menu was diverse enough that it would warrant a return. Had dinner at Madam Ji Ki Shaadi and absolutely loved the food. We ordered the kebab tasting, Malabar shrimp curry, and smoked tandoori chicken biryani—everything tasted great. The lamb seekh kebab deserves a special mention: easily the best I’ve had in the US. It was incredibly soft, packed with flavor, and not chewy at all. Truly outstanding. The only downside was the portion size, especially for the kebab tasting—it could’ve been a bit more generous. Overall, fantastic food and a great experi

Bustling spot that's open late turning out classic Indian street eats in a compact, mod storefront.
Small shop, up a flight of stairs (so not accessible for those who can't use stairs), looks and feels like it's been around for a while. They have a few stools and you can sit to eat. Ordered an aloo paneer roll, which shouldn't be spicy per the menu, but ended up being spicy (actually quite spice-laden, too). No general water cups around - maybe I had to ask. And for cash, no extra charge (they do take credit card). Overall I find the Kati Roll across the street better.

Excellent ambience, enchanting lighting and delicious Italian fare. Osteria 57 was perfect for our girlfriend’s birthday dinner, but it would also be lovely for a family meal or romantic date. Definitely recommend the crusty bread with burrata and the Cacio e Pepe, which was heavenly. I ordered the Gnudi, which wasn’t my favorite dish (almost like matzo ball shape without a ton of flavor and lacking the traditional gnocchi shape & bite) but thankfully, I housed my sister’s Cacio e Pepe. Had an incredible experience at FREVO. The hidden art entrance gives it a true speakeasy feel, and the intimate setting makes the entire evening feel personal and exclusive. I I’ve been wanting to visit this coffee shop, which doubles as a wine bar, as part of my list of work-friendly coffee shops in New York City. On a rainy Monday, I found it completely empty. I asked the cashier if it’s usually empty, and he mentioned that it tends to be empty because NYU students are away for the summer. Anytime is a good time for ramen. I wasn’t even hungry, but walked by, saw this spot, and had to stop—and I’m so glad I did. It’s a small shop (maybe 20 seats or less). Friendly quick service with a vibe that reminded me of izakayas in Tokyo. Cozy, no-frills, and all about the food. We ordered the tonkotsu and the spicy ginger stamina ramen.
