I used the app to order ahead. Easy pick up. The team is very efficient to have all the orders out on the shelf. Inside is bright and open. Mostly all bar seats. You just eat your food and leave. The ingredients are fresh. I feel this portion is smaller compared to other similar businesses.

Compact outfit with a trendy vibe serving cold brew coffee, matcha latte & other creative brews.
I came here twice during my recent short visit to New York and really enjoyed my drinks. I got the iced black sesame latte which was nicely flavored, and their seasonal pistachio orange halva latte. I had asked for the halva latte to be iced but received it hot. The employee kindly offered to remake it but I just took it as is and still thought it was very tasty. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again!

A large menu of sushi & other fare is offered at this Japanese eatery, plus select lunch specials.
It is a small cosy neighbourhood restaurant, the lady server is very friendly and attentive. Tried the Combo lunch, food seems fresh while sushi rice is average, standard is ok to the reasonable price. Like the miso soup but salad dressing not flavourful to me. May try other dishes in the future.

Ive been to every Kazu Nori location in Manhattan and this is by far the best one. It feels like a mini getaway to Japan. The rice is always fresh and warm and the fish is also so fresh. I also love that gratuity is already included. On this most recent trip, our server, Jane was exceptional. She was very kind and attentive and was the best server I have ever had at any Kazu Nori, including this one!

the appetizers were great. the prosciutto and burrata was really fresh. the meatballs were the best bite. the mains were just ok, pretty average fra diavolo, it wasn’t very spicy. it had more of a subtle sweet shrimp flavor. the chicken parm was good, though wish it came with a side as the plate was rather bare.

Cooked food wasn't cooled down fast enough to be safe.

Personally, a huge fan of playa bowls. All of their bowls are fresh and there’s a wide array of exciting flavor combos to choose from. Unfortunately, this playa bowls is a few tiers below the rest. Coconut flakes were yellowed and rock hard. Looked unclean inside. No place to sit. Would recommend finding a different location in the city.

Hip local coffee house chain serving light eats & drinks made from house-roasted beans.
Their matcha isn’t bad for a cafe, and certainly a lot better than blank st. They whisk the matcha in store but the puree was very thin (probably not house-made). And after tax, the total was around $10 😭😭

Waiters in red coats & relish trays set the tone at this enduring Italian dining institution.
I am giving this place five stars not because it will blow you away with its creative take on Italian American cuisine. It won't. But for an old fashioned Italian American New York style meal you can't ask for much more than what you'll get at Gene's. From the old New York atmosphere, to the white table cloths, to the expertly made cocktails, to the efficient service to the rarely seen anymore relish tray this place gives you a sense of what New York was like fifty years ago. Marumi is the real deal. No frills, no fuss — just exceptional Japanese food done right. The space is warm and thoughtfully designed, lots of wood, unpretentious but with genuine taste. Started with a miso soup for $3 that was better than soups I've had at places charging ten times as much. The chef's chirashi was outstanding — fresh, precise, beautifully composed. The tempura was equally excellent. Everyone here seems focused on one thing: the food. And it shows. If you're looking for a high-

We had a wonderful time at Van Leeuwen! My daughter got the 'Vegan Planet Earth' from their Spring Specials on a waffle cone, and she absolutely loved it. One of the cooler NYC bars in super close proximity to Washington square park. Food is really good (and not just good for bar food but legitimately good). Quality beef, fries cooked in tallow you can tell the care about ingredients. Staff is super cool, chill music selection, the whole place just gives a really relaxed and laid back vibe. Stylish restaurant with an industrial vibe specializing in Japanese seafood rolls.
Went to KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar and I’m not gonna lie… these hand rolls were legit. The whole setup is basically sushi for grown men with no patience. You sit at the bar, the chef starts building hand rolls right in front of you, and somehow serves the entire counter at the same time without panicking once. Meanwhile I’m struggling to decide if I should inhale the toro first or pretend I have self control. Ordered the Nozawa 6 set: Toro, Yellowtail, Salmon, Bay Scallop, Crab, and Lo

The recent renovations look very nice. They really brightened up the place. The coffee at this location is very consistent when it comes to taste. The latte art is not as good as the other location close by but the servers there may be new and will need time to perfect the skill. The barista so far have been kind and welcoming. Food comes out much faster than before the renovation which is great! So happy that this spot is open again.

Asked to sit the table next to us, the manager said it’s reserved, unfortunately no show till we finished dinner, so my friend was really upset about it. Ravioli is very creamy, but the special of the day “escargot” is a no. Not tasty. We also ordered fries as a side, it came when I finished my ravioli. Would expect it faster.

Fantastic experience at Joe Coffee! The shop has a great vibe with upbeat music, friendly staff, and consistently delicious drinks. I ordered the Miso Brown Butter Latte, and it exceeded all expectations—rich, balanced, and unlike anything I’ve tried at another NYC coffee shop. I also had the Nutella-filled banana bread, which was absolutely incredible. Moist, decadent, and full of flavor—one of the best pastries I’ve had in New York. What a great place to grab some really incredible food. Friendly staff and with the open kitchen, it is fun to watch them hand make the tortillas and cook up the food. Highly recommend wha that’s to be their signature dish- Steak Trampo. So tender and full of flavor. Zucchini on a taco may sound like it would be soggy or no flavor; I’m glad I went ahead and tried it. So delicious!! May be some of the best guacamole in the city. Really- go. You won’t regret it

Here’s a warm, upbeat review you can use: ⸻ I had such a great time at Singlish near Union Square! I really appreciate the Panera Bread at the Union Square location. I always come in for my morning coffee and sometimes for lunch as well. The staff is always fast, accurate, and very kind, even during the busy lunch rush when they seem incredibly overworked. I’ve had bad experiences at another Panera location in LIC, so the difference here really stands out. This bar ended happy hour early because it got busy. They advertised specials until a certain time, but once enough people showed up, they stopped honoring them. That’s disingenuous. If you advertise a happy hour, you should honor it for the full posted time. There are plenty of bars in NYC that manage to honor their posted specials regardless of how crowded they get. Customers should be able to trust what’s advertised.

My favorite coffee shop I’ve visited in NYC. Amazing espresso and pour over selection. The coffee was freshly roasted and made perfectly. I liked the ambiance here. It was relaxed and quiet. The decor was clean with calm colors. The food was mostly great. All the nigiri were tasty. The omakase here is more or less traditional so don't look for a lot of creativity here. This is the bit that I personally didn't love. The service was lackluster. 3.5 stars for me. Food was average, but drinks and espresso were good. Also service and atmosphere was v good. Mushroom carpaccio was good and creative. We also got the large fritto misto and it was very normal. The batter wasn’t that crispy tbh. The shrimp in there was tender though. Lemon tagliolini was fresh pasta but I didn’t really like the cheese that was in it, it just didn’t go well with the sea beans. The Ora King Salmon is soooooo good! Delicious and tender! The hottest teriyaki is very hot. Crispy pork gyoza is quite crispy but not a lot of pork flavor. Chicken wings are pretty good as well. The spicy-yaki sauce tastes like spicy buffalo sauce.
