I used the app to order ahead. Easy pick up. The team is very efficient to have all the orders out on the shelf. Inside is bright and open. Mostly all bar seats. You just eat your food and leave. The ingredients are fresh. I feel this portion is smaller compared to other similar businesses.

I came here twice during my recent short visit to New York and really enjoyed my drinks. I got the iced black sesame latte which was nicely flavored, and their seasonal pistachio orange halva latte. I had asked for the halva latte to be iced but received it hot. The employee kindly offered to remake it but I just took it as is and still thought it was very tasty. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again!

It is a small cosy neighbourhood restaurant, the lady server is very friendly and attentive. Tried the Combo lunch, food seems fresh while sushi rice is average, standard is ok to the reasonable price. Like the miso soup but salad dressing not flavourful to me. May try other dishes in the future.

Ive been to every Kazu Nori location in Manhattan and this is by far the best one. It feels like a mini getaway to Japan. The rice is always fresh and warm and the fish is also so fresh. I also love that gratuity is already included. On this most recent trip, our server, Jane was exceptional. She was very kind and attentive and was the best server I have ever had at any Kazu Nori, including this one!

the appetizers were great. the prosciutto and burrata was really fresh. the meatballs were the best bite. the mains were just ok, pretty average fra diavolo, it wasn’t very spicy. it had more of a subtle sweet shrimp flavor. the chicken parm was good, though wish it came with a side as the plate was rather bare.

Personally, a huge fan of playa bowls. All of their bowls are fresh and there’s a wide array of exciting flavor combos to choose from. Unfortunately, this playa bowls is a few tiers below the rest. Coconut flakes were yellowed and rock hard. Looked unclean inside. No place to sit. Would recommend finding a different location in the city.

Their matcha isn’t bad for a cafe, and certainly a lot better than blank st. They whisk the matcha in store but the puree was very thin (probably not house-made). And after tax, the total was around $10 😭😭

The recent renovations look very nice. They really brightened up the place. The coffee at this location is very consistent when it comes to taste. The latte art is not as good as the other location close by but the servers there may be new and will need time to perfect the skill. The barista so far have been kind and welcoming. Food comes out much faster than before the renovation which is great! So happy that this spot is open again.

Asked to sit the table next to us, the manager said it’s reserved, unfortunately no show till we finished dinner, so my friend was really upset about it. This bar ended happy hour early because it got busy. They advertised specials until a certain time, but once enough people showed up, they stopped honoring them. That’s disingenuous. If you advertise a happy hour, you should honor it for the full posted time. There are plenty of bars in NYC that manage to honor their posted specials regardless of how crowded they get. Customers should be able to trust what’s advertised.

My favorite coffee shop I’ve visited in NYC. Amazing espresso and pour over selection. The coffee was freshly roasted and made perfectly. The prices are also much more affordable than the other places nearby. The baristas were really friendly and knowledgeable. Upstairs they have tables and places you can work from a laptop.
