What a warm welcoming place! It has the og Brooklyn feel with an incredible staff and great prices. The bartender Peter was especially kind helping sort out a mistake with another patron and had plenty of good conversational insights about the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back and support this establishment, in a rapidly developing and gentrifying landscape we all should support the original locales like these fighting the good fight.

We chose Yakar based on online reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty, we left nothing on the plates. Very courteous and friendly staff! To top it off, when we arrived they showed us a big die 🎲 - on all sides it said Yakar except one which said "Ya won" they said its a new promotion. At check time they came by with a board and a mini die (to play for real) if by chance you throw it and it lands on "Ya won" your meal is on the house (just pay gratuity and tax). Well, I know

Sadly this place has so much potential. I love Cuban/Caribbean food and this place did not hit as i was hoping. The rice was hard and mushy at the same time. Not sure how to explain it but definitely had to monitor every bite to make sure I didnt chip my tooth. The beef portions were slightly below average at best and for the $20/plate, it could have been more. The only thing that hit was the canned Fanta.

I visited Starbucks today and had a disappointing experience with an employee named Slone. I simply asked for a cup of tap water, and he told me I needed to make another purchase in order to get it. The café was very quiet with hardly any customers, so I was surprised by the lack of willingness to help. Maybe there was a misunderstanding or store policy I’m unaware of, but I left the store feeling upset and unwelcome. I usually expect better customer service and kindness from Starbucks.

Just had an amazing meal at Cafe Fleuri and it absolutely delivered. The loup de mer was perfectly cooked—light, flaky, and super fresh. The escalope de poulet grenobloise was just as impressive, with that rich, buttery sauce bringing everything together. And don’t skip the sourdough… crispy on the outside, soft inside, and honestly a must-order. Simple, classic dishes done really well—definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Had such a great experience at this diner in Park Slope! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Nick was especially friendly and welcoming — he constantly checked on us and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. New Apolo in Bushwick is my favorite Chinese food in NYC. The orange chicken and general tso's are very good, but imo the real star of the show is the fried rice. I've been to many MANY pizza stores but none like this one. 1. Pizza The pizza has a nice ratio of crust to sauce to cheese (and toppings if you get one with them). Pretty underwhelming experience overall. Especially considering the options in the neighborhood. Asking the guests if they want dessert halfway through eating dinner because "kitchen is closing" is really bad form. Especially for guests paying over $100 per person. Like how much effort and cleanup does it take to make a dessert? Bad hospitality. If you want to be home earlier, have earlier closing hours.

Marvelous milkshake! The Banana milkshake, creamy rich and buttery smooth. It tasted like Banana Pudding, the southern sweet treat. This was my first visit to Five Guys. I didn't try the food but, if it's even half as good as this milkshake....Boy Oh Boy...!!

This best Popeyes in the area, the food always comes out smelling and tasting great. Always feels fresh, the staff is also nice and takes care of the restaurant well. I would go out of my way to go here if I’m craving fast food. Keep it up!

This place has been horrible for the past couple of years but TODAY!!! Things have changed. I don’t know if it’s new management or different cooks. But I hope they keep it coming. Absolutely Delicious! The food here is incredible! The taste was delicious and so flavorful. Used to like this place a lot, I likely won’t order again. Ordered delivery, not only were the portions half of the containers (even the rice carton wasn’t full) but the proportions were also off — pad thai was wayyy too sweet and the pad se ew was too salty. Seems they used the same amount of sauce but shrunk the amount of food. Massaman curry was good, but again, the portion was shockingly small.

My husband and I stopped by this place over the weekend, and I honestly loved it. Very cozy atmosphere, comfortable seating, and that classic American diner feeling that’s getting harder to find these days. Not to be dramatic but Banh is so so so good. Genuinely everything I’ve tried on the menu has been really incredible and the flavors are executed so well and with so much depth.
