Great spot for late night authentic Chinese food in the city. Servers were all very nice. The restaurant was also very clean inside. We got little hot teas with our food which was wonderful. We ordered the Amoy Style Mei Fun Noodles, the Chef’s special Sweet and Sour Pineapple Fried Shrimp Balls and chicken soup. The Amoy Style Noodles were some of the best noodles I have eaten. Great flavor and not greasy at all.

Great rice rolls at West Rice Roll King! The rice rolls were beautifully made with super thin, delicate layers and filled with four jumbo shrimp—fresh, plump, and satisfying. They paired perfectly with a light soy sauce, making for a simple, clean, and flavorful bite. Since everything is steamed, it’s light and not oily at all—perfect as a snack. I also really appreciated the honesty and transparency from the front desk. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday and were told upfront that the wait co

We just hosted my sister’s bridal shower here yesterday and the experience could not have been better. Every detail from the planning through the execution was meticulous and on the day of the staff and food were both incredible. Our coordinator helped us decorate the back room, and even offered to help us clean up the space after. We were a party of 30 - and every single appetizer, entree and drink came out on time and absolutely delicious. We will not only be coming back to dine but for futu

The WORST Chinese food I ever had. The chow fun(fried noodles) were terrible, very oily and tasteless. The rice was also hard. It was weird the chow fun in the lunch special came with rice… the egg drop soup had a strange yellow color; I don't know what was added to make it that color……

Great dining experience at this creative Chinese restaurant near Columbia University! The location is very convenient, only about a 3-minute walk from the subway. The interior is simple yet elegant, with marble tables and tasteful Chinese-style decor. We ordered several dishes and were impressed by all of them. The red date chicken rice noodle soup was rich and comforting, the pork rib and lotus root pot was very flavorful and came in a generous portion (perfect for sharing), and the crispy sh

The food here is excellent—very authentic flavors, especially the mala dry pot, which is one of the best I’ve had in nyc. One thing to note is that the staff help pick and weigh the ingredients, which is convenient, but they tend to add quite a lot by default. It can end up being more expensive than expected and always more food than I can finish. It would be great if customers were asked more clearly about portion preferences.

Chinese restaurant in the heart of Chelsea! Super great food and pretty good service! They had an issue with their internet so I had to pay with cash. I failed to read my receipt wrong and forgot to add enough for tip and was reminded to by the manager which I thought was a bit odd. I don’t mind providing tip, which It would have been easy to if their systems were working, but I don’t like when a restaurant begs for it when you could pay your workers a fair wage. I would come back, but please do

This place is both good and bad. Starting with the good: the atmosphere is perfect. It feels very homey, authentic, and cozy, living up to the restaurant’s name and theme perfectly. The service is also amazing, with our food coming quickly. Now to the food. The food was frankly disappointing. The flavors felt muted and muffled, with the sting of the peppercorns being just enough to make it slightly uncomfortable. The shrimp, however, was absolutely delicious, and so were the dumplings and cucumb

This is a nice spot tucked away on the outskirts of Flushing (though should flag that it is cash only). The place felt very authentic, almost to the point where you need to know what you’re looking for when ordering. Some of the menu translations weren’t entirely clear, which honestly added to the feeling that this was catering more to locals than to a broader audience. We ordered the luffa melon vegetables (si gua), three cup chicken, chef-special styled intestines, fish fillet, and an oyster

Along with the more popular and well-known Xi'An Famous Foods, Bites of Xi'an is another chain serving food from Northwestern China. I had previously been to their Brooklyn location, and I believe their location in the East Village. Compared to the other spot, I wouldn't order the cumin lamb noodles, but instead recommend either a Rou jia mo/肉夹馍, or their Diao Diao Mian. The former is listed alternatively as a Chinese hamburger, and I would recommend the cumin lamb from previous experience, as I

Good service, good food. Everything was extremely HOT! We burnt our tongues, but we’re not complaining. However, each dish was piping hot so be careful! All dishes were delicious, but found the beef broccoli to have way too much sauce. Everything was very fresh and our server was very sweet. Groupon made it an even better deal.

A simple menu and delicious food with self serve ordering and seating. Very direct and easy to walk in and have a solid meal. We tried the spicy cumin lamb noodles which were delicious. I have been craving authentic Chinese food for years and found this place almost by accident. One look at the menu and I knew I had struck gold. I went with Spicy Dry Pot - fish tofu, duck blood, squid head, lotus roots, chinese yam and wood ear. Rich sauce, good amount of Szechuan peppercorn, and the right amount of heat. What a pleasure! The best sweet & sour I have had since the 90’s when they use to put pineapple chunks in the sauce. The pork fried rice was so refreshingly perfect. It had eggs, sprout, onions, peas, even nice chunks of roast pork. While waiting decided to order a Long Island drink. Holy crap it was super good. So had too make sure I tipped heavy. Everything here is so delicious and priced so well! Nice big portions to share or to have some left overs for the next day. The staff was so sweet and attentive the whole time. Definitely recommend coming here with a group of people, a date or even by yourself! It’s not a big place but the way they have the seating arranged, it fits a good amount of people. As one of the earliest customers of this restaurant—and someone who has visited more than 20 times—I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others either. Over the past year, prices have increased by more than 50% while portions have been significantly reduced. This place has a lot of good to go for it, starting with low prices and decent food. The membership sounds like a good deal if you live around the two locations. And whenever I saw her because I was looking around the restaurant she just look so annoyed and bothered. There was very kind ladies and a very nice man, but she was so disrespectful. Ordered on Uber eats. The egg roll was the best, but the free one (buy one get one free) was not included, so I was disappointed (I reported to uber and they gave me a 2.5$ credit). I consider myself lucky to be local to this restaurant and a regular here! Tried Red Bowl and ordered the Chicken with Broccoli. It was fine, but honestly pretty average. The chicken was tender enough and the broccoli was cooked well, but the flavor was pretty standard — the kind of Chinese takeout taste you can get almost anywhere in the U.S. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. It was my first time coming here even though I’ve been visiting this area forever. The shop is really spacious and they don’t just sell desserts — they also have noodles, wontons, and a bunch of other food options. Everything tasted really good. The only downside is that it’s a bit expensive. A waffle with ice cream was around $12–13ish which is kind of pricey, but overall the experience was really nice.

Amazing amazing rice roll spot!! Vegetarian friendly, cheap, AND they take Apple Pay and credit cards!! Sauces galore… They are super vegetarian friendly — vegetarian rolls are clearly labeled. You can choose 3 veggies for free and add additional veggies, egg, or meats for an extra cost. They’re made fresh and served steaming hot. Best Hunan food you can find in NY(my mom from Hunan so you can trust me). Very cheap, most dishes are 20 dollars. Don’t listen to people saying this place not good, simply ask the server what to get. If you get the wrong dish such as orange chicken, then don’t complain. The veggie fried dumplings were okay. So were the beef pancakes, I ate 2. The chives pancake was undercooked and the dough was still a bit raw. The serving size for four people is tightly controlled, the scallops and steamed eggs are tender enough to slide down the throat, and the sea bass is fully cooked.
