One of the best Malaysian meals I've had outside of Malaysia. It truly was quite authentic. The chicken satay was delicious and nicely charred, the hookien mee, beef rendang was also delicious. My son had the nasi lemak and while he liked it, he didn't like the fried chicken wings. They had plenty of drink options and I personally loved my order of grass jelly and lychee drink. Overall a great experience. The service was also excellent. Look forward to coming back if I ever get to New York ag

A legendary Chinese eatery from the '80s is modernized in a three-story space with decorous rooms, serving Sichuan-inspired cuisine.
I have been a repeat customer here, but after this visit I will not be returning... We dined the night before Lunar New Year and our bill was about $300+ Some staple dishes like the Peking duck and soup were fine. The issue was the service and how a complaint was handled. I spoke to our female waitress in Mandarin and asked her to recommend a fish dish with a bean sauce. She directed me to the hot and sour fish. What arrived was a $52 tilapia that was heavily fried, dry, and covered in an extr

Bustling, cash-only Hong Kong-style diner dishing up a mix of Chinese standards & American fare.
I came to Cha Kee to eat on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait! If you see a line outside, it’s most likely because of the neighboring Mei Lai Wah bakery, which you can walk past and go directly to the counter inside to get seated. The restaurant interior is clean and spacious, with plenty of seating, though some tables are connected, meaning parties could be seated close together. We were seated at a private booth and quickly ordered. I had the HK-style milk tea with ice, and it was s

Food was delicious and owner was very nice! We even got 2 free egg dishes (I’m not sure if it was because we had more people or if it was for everyone but it was still great nonetheless!) I got gamjatang (감자탕) and it was delicious, just wish it came with more potatoes, meat, and veggies most of it was just bone and broth. The bulgugi (불고기) was one of my favorites, really loved the flavor. I also ordered the mango banana smoothie, which was a bit pricey but it was still good, not much mango flavo

Highly recommend this spot for traditional wonton noodle soup. I ordered the beef tendon version, and the Chinese couple next to me both got the duck — everyone seemed happy with their bowls. The wontons are excellent, and the broth has great flavor: not too salty and not the kind that leaves you crazy thirsty afterward, which is pretty common at Chinese restaurants. This is a no‑frillsnplace with both locals and tourists mixed in. There’s a lunch special, though the wonton noodles end up aroun

I had been hearing from friends for a long time about how good this place is, and I finally got a chance to try it myself. It absolutely lived up to the hype! Every dish we ordered was delicious. The beef was incredibly flavorful and tender, and the Mapo Tofu was one of the best I’ve had. The real surprise, though, was the egg tart—it was so good that I would honestly come back just to buy the egg tarts alone. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. This is the perfect Chinese crispy duck crispy pork belly restaurant. It survived the pandemic for a reason. Their seasonal green vegetables were crispy, flavorful, and tender. They were lightly drizzled with oyster sauce but, only a little bit and in no way overwhelmed it. My friend and I both ate our fill and, still had enough of the duck lo mein with its porky porky goodness to have as a dinner entree or lunch the next day . I was not wildly impressed with the food here compared to other places in Chinatown. My squid was somewhat bland, but I will give credit and say the dumplings were phenomenally seasoned and fried. It featured a single countertop table with a limited number of stools for diners to enjoy the food undisturbed. I had a roast duck rice noodle soup. The broth was served separately to be poured in.
