🍋 Taylor’s Tayke: Royal Palms is more than just a venue, it’s an experience rooted in intention and community. You can feel that from the moment you walk in. The entire space is an ode to shuffleboard, from the design to the details, all inspired by the owner Jonathan’s upbringing playing with his grandparents in Florida. That personal touch shows in everything. It’s immersive, nostalgic, and thoughtfully curated in a way that makes the night feel different from your typical outing. 🍋 My Tips

Found this place while wandering through Brooklyn and I’m sure glad I did. It had a great vibe. The bartender was awesome and it was a really nice place to spend a Sunday morning. Very unique menu, focusing on a lot of vegetarian options. They have live music at certain times, although not when we were there, but the playlist was great.

Chill bar featuring axe-throwing areas & instruction amid flannel decor, plush sofas & mounted deer.
Great time here! Nice atmosphere, great staff. We were a group of 7 celebrating a birthday so we got to use the 'birthday axe' in addition to the regular axe which was cool. Our instructor Piper was Awesome! She recommended the Tic Tac Toe axe game which we all enjoyed. The bartender was also great. Only light bites here so if hungry best to plan to eat before or after. Will definitely be back.

Cool, modern eatery spotlighting Eastern European pierogi with classic & nontraditional fillings.
We’ve been to this place a few times over the years, and it’s always been an absolute delight! The small, cozy setting makes it feel like a warm and inviting place to dine. Our top picks are the boiled Mac & Cheese and the Spinach & Feta pierogies. We also tried the Sloppy Kielbasy Sandwich, which was a personal favorite, and the Kielbasy Sliders. Every dish we’ve ordered has been bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly balanced. It’s evident that this is a traditional pierogi establishment, a

My friends and I came here for first time to celebrate a birthday and had an incredible experience. The service was amazing and the staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was seriously so good. The pajeon was the probably the best I’ve had in NYC (so fluffy & so soft) so far, and the fried broccoli was nothing like I’ve had before (so unique and yummy). The meat was high quality, and it probably helped that the staff cooked it for us. The japchae was delicious, alt

Love this place! Finally visited for the first time today & can’t believe I haven’t been here yet! It’s super bike friendly with tools and pumps and events. They have fabulous drinks and vegan treats (it’s all vegan!). Definitely try the donuts if they’re available- they’re from Duh Donuts & they have a bunch of gluten free/vegan snacks too from other vegan bakers. It’s a huge space so plenty of space to work &/or hang out and enjoy your drink in a real cup/mug.

A pretty friendly neighborhood spot. Cozy is the right description for this place and it has a fireplace right by the back of this place. You also have outdoor seating for nicer weather. It’s pretty a good place to have some drinks paired with some nice cheeses. Services might definitely get slow though when the place is busy. I could see the waitress dealing with a lot of patrons so in a busier evening it might take some time. Other than that the place is definitely deserving of your business a

Good atmosphere and service. Was surprised they asked for a card at the beginning of the meal. Squash tlayuda was a little bland, but the homemade hot sauces zested it up! It's just really good. The Brisket is easily top ten I've had in my life. I almost want to do a comparison with some friends. It was really tender as was the turkey. I brought a 3&5 year old and they tried some brisket and turkey too along with the tenders and next time we might skip the tenders (tho they are perfectly executed too. This coffee place has such a cute, cozy, vintage vibe. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it’s exactly the kind of café I love going to — whether to work a bit, grab a coffee on my own, or share a moment with a friend. I have been to all three Daigo locations (City Point, 4th Ave, and this one) and they all are great with their consistent level of preparation and quality fish. This one is nice because it is the most “sit down” of the three, most of the seats are at the bar! Ha! Just like the standing-only location at Dekalb Market Hall (in City Point), you get served one hand roll at a time to ensure your rice is warm. I went there with six people. It’s located in a trendy part of Brooklyn, and the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. The staff who served our table were also very friendly. As for the food, I was interested in okonomi fried potato and eringi karaage, but they weren’t anything special—just generally tasty. The garlic shrimp was probably the best dish, and the sushi rolls we ordered were also just average. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the desserts. Since it’s in a trendy area, the

The atmosphere is OK – seating is available, but it’s minimal, would be OK if not busy, but when it’s busy, it’s kind of cramped. Also a little bit overpriced, but not the worst. It smells pretty good inside when you first enter. Like a cozy breakfast. The soy milk latte is decent. “The Lyris” is very tasty. Actually good proper southern biscuit. Cappuccino was way too foamy. Just went to Mirror in the Woods for the second time since moving to the neighborhood, and it didn’t disappoint. The space is intimate and cozy, perfect for cold weather, with an excellent selection of fresh teas. Prefacing by saying the staff is lovely and I’ve never had an issue with any of them. I’ve been going to bond for years with the kids I used to babysit and visited today after not going for awhile. I've seen this pizza place for years and decided to give it a shot. I had to double parking because it was a weekday and nothing was available. When I went inside, I saw a modest selection of slices and I went with the regular cheese. The slice cost $3.00 and I'd say it was slightly below average. It was better than the typical $1.50 slice but not on the level I'd expect from a regular place in this area. The slice was a bit soggy towards the tip but the ingredients were alright.
