There are four types of restaurants in the world. NYC has a lot of restaurants that are expensive and are good or those that are cheap and are good. Unfortunately, Bar Italia is expensive and awful. I was charged $39 pre-tax, pre-tip 19 pieces of chicken cubes (yes, I counted)! The manager had the GALL to say “well we made it already so BUON APPETITO!” Completely disrespectful, arrogant, and awful! If I get charged $39 pretax for “half chicken” (as stated on the menu), I expect a half chicken.

Will never order from Just Salad again. Not only was there a LARGE INSECT in one of our salads, every single item in our order was either completely missing or missing a side or part of the order. Julez greeted me as soon as I walked in and provided excellent customer service! She helped me identify a drink I would enjoy (the “daydream”) and had a sunny disposition throughout our interaction. Unlike other coffee shop chains that can feel very cold and “factory-like,” the service at Blank Street felt warm and personable. We stopped into Luke’s on a busy marathon afternoon, and the staff still managed to quickly find a table for ten of us — including four hungry, tired kids. The service was amazing, fast, and exactly what we needed after a long day cheering on our brother in the race. I live on the Upper East Side and decided to walk over and try this fresh bread bakery. The place was very clean, and it smelled amazing as soon as I walked in. The service was great overall. I bought some bread along with their cheese rolls, which were absolutely delicious definitely something I’d recommend to anyone. The only small downside was that the salesperson didn’t ask if I wanted the rolls heated up, which would have made them even better. Overall, it was a really great experience.

Overall, good bagels/brunch spot. This is firstly a shop to buy fish. Their sliced Nova was incredible, and easily the best I’ve had in New York on a bagel. Thinly sliced and extremely fresh. Bagel was on the better end, chewy, though have had better bagels and spread elsewhere. I also was not a fan of $1 to add one of lettuce/onion/tomato, so $3 for all, though the price was otherwise roughly on market for what I got if not higher value. Atmosphere was average, not a lot of room to move around.

The ribs were ok. I think the sauce was a little more on the vinegar side but they were still ok. They remind me of another spot in Brooklyn called Chicken Stop, where I like their ribs better. My dinner partner had the chicken. They liked it from previous dines, so that's how we ended up here. What I just noticed is they charge for using a credit card. Make sure to use debit if you can. ☹️

The staff and general manager here are incredibly kind. My mother visited today, and they treated her with so much patience and care, never rushing her. She doesn’t speak much English, yet they treated her with the same respect and kindness as anyone else—which isn’t always the case in many places. Ok… I love pasta…. But let me just say wow. I’m a big pasta lover and go to a lot of Italian restaurants, but this carbonara was soooooooo good. I am a FAN. The staff is also amazing, so helpful with ordering and so kind. We didn’t need to wait in line at ALL because we arrived at a fairly strange time (3pm) which was awesome. The focaccia is also yum. It’s all reasonably priced as well. This is one of my new favorites in the neighborhood!!!

Tried to walk by but when I saw they have been around since 1979 I knew I needed to go in & try a slice . Delicious pizza and friendly service .
