It is hard to find good good sushi sometimes in NYC and especially in Brooklyn Heights. I came in hopeful, but not expecting too much. The sushi exceeded my expectations with the freshness and quality of the fish. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the miso soup, which was a bit lacking in miso flavor. I will definitely come back for the omakase.

The worker here i believe her name was Amelia treated me very kindly, very patient and very polite. She was like a breath of fresh air when i had trouble picking out what i would want. I highly recommend coming to this carvels location and give her a fist bump for me :)

I had a very disappointing experience at this sushi restaurant. I ordered the yellowtail sashimi, which came with only about six pieces, and the slices were extremely thin—almost paper-thin—especially considering how expensive this restaurant is. It was absolutely not worth the price. On top of that, the chef had a very poor attitude. What a treasure! We came after a friend took her toddler there and it exceeded our expectations. The staffl was unbelievably accommodating of us and our toddler who had a fabulous time. I think it's her new favorite place. Thank you to everyone! We will be back. Lots of delicious tea options and the scones and tea sandwiches were great. Surprisingly kid friendly and we felt transported to another era. They even brought a special purple tea for our kiddo who was very impressed.

Not too overrun with laptop hobos at 11:40 on a Wednesday. Wifi works well. Cozy and good drip coffee. The music is too loud for conversation, but perhaps they only play it at this volume when it's not busy.

Bottega was one of the first spots i hit once i moved to Crown Heights and i’ve been a regular ever since. i wanna say their sammies are the main reason i keep coming back, but the truth is that their food is a reflection of the people behind it. Christian and his team have always been so kind & welcoming, and the chefs never fail to put a smile on my face when they roll out hit after hit!! so excited to see them expanding in the neighborhood and hope they’ll stick around for many years to come

Hunter Delicatessen is a great option for students since it offers a discount for them, even though the prices can be a bit high compared to other places. Despite that, the ingredients look fresh and of good quality, and the food is good. The staff could honestly be better.

Me and my friend used to go to max brenner all the time. We walked by the time square and saw the little gift shop so decided to browse. The cashier with croissant jellycat helped us out. Went to the Head Hi Lamp Show 2026. Was super excited. Bought a lamp. Six weeks later (after several follow ups) they told me that the artist decided not to sell the lamp because of a “technical issue.” Eventually they refunded my card. It’s super disappointing as I wanted to support local artists and the event. But now I just feel like I got scammed by the whole experience.

Amazing authentic food and the inside is gorgeous! Staff was very kind, accommodating and not over bearing in the slightest. Went with my close friend and she got the Miso Ramen while I got the Tonkotsu Ramen. I even asked if the can make it spicy and they were more then willing to adjust it. When I arrived there was a slight wait due to a large order before me which is why the service took a hit. There were seating areas however it felt confined to a bench staring out and it felt limited. After a long walk on the Upper West Side, I came across this spot. It was very nice, with a great selection of beers to help beat the heat. I really enjoyed it and will be coming back to get one of those big cans to go. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. The arcade machine was a total plus. I love those things. And the art in the bathroom was also very interesting.

Visited this Italian restaurant in astoria, inside look like a local italian cafeteria to my point of view, tho the service that day was great, very friendly the server. The food is very good & made quickly. The staff is professional. And I've never had an issue with delivery either. But understand this place is no frills. None! It's strickly pick up or delivery. We came to Jian Chinese restaurant on September 1st first time visiting this restaurant, to try out for my daughter who just bought a house in the area. We ordered combination plate sweet and sour chicken and boneless spare ribs both with wonton soup. And an egg roll. The service was excellent, the restaurant very clean, the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for Chinese food. Plenty of parking , easy to get to off of the expressway. Everything was delicious.

Akura has been our go-to sushi spot ever since they opened. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and and the pieces are chunky! The staff is very warm and welcoming, and we’re often treated to a little complimentary something. My husband has basically tried every poke bowl with his top pick being the spicy lava bowl.
