Quaint eatery serving up a mix of French & American staples, with vegan & vegetarian options.
When for Saturday brunch. Had chicken and waffles. I enjoyed it. The breading was mustard but the mustard flavor was very mild so it was ok. The chicken was moist and tender. The bananas and berries were plenty. The waffle was light but had good density with a course texture that absorbed syrup well. Wait staff was great, super friendly and prompt. Place was cute but small and a little cramped. Patons were all friendly and curious so cramped was not a problem.

Really nice French/Moroccan spot. Immediately greeted by incredibly welcoming staff. It was nice and vibrant inside with a beautiful bar area. As someone who doesn’t drink I was really glad to see they had mocktails. I got the Berry Sour and truly enjoyed it. We started with the meatballs that came with pita bread. They were nice and moist and paired with the pita makes for a fun sandwich option or dip the pita in the sauce if you’d prefer. I got the French Dip sandwich and devoured it. Very m

This is a wonderful neighborhood bistro. It is really a hidden gem. The service is impeccable. The food is solid. Good cocktails and an intimate space. They have all of the French classics. The mussels are excellent and the tuna tartar is superb. The shrimp cocktail special was special. Bistro Eloise is definitely worth a visit.

I decided to revisit this spot. My last visit was over 10 years ago. Maybe it was my youth. But this place has declined. In the actual "bar" the air is thick and smells a little like my father's assisted living facility- the essence of urine. Lastly, thanks to the frequency of digital payment, they have joined the + tax team. So, $12 is actually $13.07. If you want to make 13 bucks for my Belgian just charged me 13- thanks. The courtyard does have a very chill European feel. Just have a friend

We discovered Cognac while staying nearby and it quickly became one of our favorite spots during our trip. My partner and I first went on December 31st to start our New Year’s Eve. We had a couple of glasses of champagne and ordered the escargots, which were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere felt lively but still elegant, and the staff was genuinely warm and welcoming. This restaurant/café is one of the best, maybe the best in the world trade center. One of the best things about this restaurant is that there’s always a line. Yes that’s what I said “always a line” and it’s very hard to get what you want to eat without waiting so long. I am a frequent patron and I love it. And I get angry because the line is so long until I checked myself and wondered why is it always like this.? The answer is that the food is so good and healthy and the customer service is five

We loved it!! OMG we loved it! The service was on point. Annette is a gem! From appetizers to entree it was non stop mouth watering flavor. We have done fried calamari at other plces several times but this one took the crown...very light with dipping sauce you could not resist..the beef tatar with toasted baguettes was heavenly. This was my second time at vin sur vingt. This time I went alone just to give it a second chance before I leave a review. They actually have a great, well curated wine selection; but if you were thinking about getting food there please think twice because you will be disappointed. Maman is one of the cutest cafés near the NYU campus. The entire space gives such charming French café vibes, making it the perfect place to stop for a coffee or a sweet treat. It’s the kind of place you instantly feel happy to be in. The staff were wonderful, especially one gentleman who truly made our day. This is my go-to le pain. The food is excellent every single time, the interior beautiful and the service is always good. I’m finally writing a review after I had Billy as a server, who I thought was one of the most focused and quick servers I’ve at there. His calm demeanor chilled out this high-strung New Yorker, too.

The atmosphere is bustling and a bit loud as there are customers but it works as nice background noise. The service was quick and the workers were really nice. The food was really flavorful though pricey for the portion received. The bathroom is very clean and is accommodating for family with small kids and there's a play area for kids as well. Really good overall, would go back. I got "katie's chicken sandwich" and an iced matcha latte with honey lavender.

There was a bit of a line mid Saturday morning but I didn’t need to wait very long. This location is rather small. Many people were buying baguettes. The apricot croissant looked good. The sandwiches are sold daily but the focaccia is only on the weekend so I got a pesto mozzarella focaccia piece. It was very good with a soft crust and bouncy chew. We stumbled upon La Goulue after a snowy walk through Central Park and couldn’t have been happier. The restaurant is quaint, charming, and full of classic French ambience—exactly what you hope for on a winter day. The crab salad was beautifully fresh with a lovely vinaigrette, and the onion soup was outstanding—deep, rich, and topped with perfectly melted Gruyère. Two perfect eggs, two days in a row. I stopped into this place and had the papa‘s breakfast bowl. It was delicious. The candied bacon is amazing and so is the sauce that’s on top of the potatoes. This place is an understated and tucked away gem in Astoria. It’s my new go to French cafe thanks to one of my friends who is a local as well.
