I am writing this complaint with a heavy heart and deep frustration, because what I experienced on the evening of Monday, May 25th was not just poor service. It was racism, plain and simple. During dinner service, both employees and customers at your establishment displayed behavior that was discriminatory, disrespectful, and deeply unwelcome. Yum! I had tried insomnia cookies several times in the past (they make a mean cookies and cream cookie) but not from this location. I got the mix and match cookie’wich with cookies ‘n dream ice cream between freshly baked chocolate chunk and macadamia white chocolate cookies, which was fire. Some of their other ice cream flavors were a bit sweet for me but this one was great! The server was warm and attentive.

Strangely, a beer store was the only coffee stop open in a few blocks at 9am on a Sunday. They were super nice and filled up my reusable cup. Coffee starts around $3 for an americano. Lots of seating. Cool vibe. Good spot for to buy a food gift or nice charcuterie too.

The Mimi Cheng’s flavored dumplings were very juicy and I enjoyed them. I was disappointed in the Pork & Chive. They were not as juicy as the chicken and the triangular shape kept opening up. Dipping sauce was good, but not great. It was a little heavy on the vinegar and it looked like there was chili oil, but I didn’t taste any spice. Prices are a little on the high side even for the location. I like that you can see them being handmade there but it was underwhelming for me.

This shop is absolutely terrible when it comes to delivery; they are always late. It seems they are never able to hand the food over to the drivers on time. Whenever I come to pick up an order, it takes 30–40 minutes. If there are going to be such delays, you should just turn off your online status.
