Such a cozy and cool spot with an amazing vibe! The atmosphere feels intimate and stylish — perfect for a fun night out. The food is super delicious, though definitely on the spicy side (which we loved!). Every dish was packed with flavor. The melted cheese sandwich is absolutely incredible — honestly worth coming back just for that alone. The cocktails are amazingly crafted and so delicious. One of the best vodka sodas I’ve had, and the mushroom margarita was unique and surprisingly delicious

Modest eatery serving pizza slices and pies in a compact, counter-serve style.
The slice of pizza cost $1.50 only and it was fabulous - with thin crispy crust, thin layer of mozzarella cheese, dry oregano, hot sauce, and served very, very hot! The place is tiny so you can’t really sit down there. Still, great New York pizza.

East Village gastropub serving American comfort food in shareable small plates, plus weekend brunch.
It is the brasserie / dive bar / bistro / speak easy that you were always looking to make your local joint. The decor screams “if you know you know” without the pretentiousness. We had Sebastian burgers with and without bacon…and this is key…we were not asked how we wanted it cooked…great sign. The burger was unctuous with delicious flavor that was reminiscent of aged steak. Longtime barroom with cheap drinks, crowd-pleasing jukebox & B movies projected on the walls.
This bar used to be one of our faves because it had Jukebox with great selection of alt music. However last time we put a lot of money on it but they wouldn't play the songs. We heard them say it was the waitress birthday and she will choose the music. That's great but I wish they had a note on the Jukebox because we lost our money and got nothing in return. I miss the previous owner, ever since the vibe has changed...

While exploring Manhattan, we stumbled across Jiang’s Kitchen and were pleasantly surprised to find it to be a halal restaurant. The restaurant has a cozy, no-frills atmosphere that lets the food do the talking, and it turned out to be one of those unexpected finds that makes a trip memorable. We started with the House Special Lamb Kabobs, which arrived sizzling on skewers and coated with a flavorful blend of spices. Easygoing pub serving craft beers & cocktails, plus sharing plates, mains & bar bites.
My friend and I came to Jackdaw for brunch and while the food was good, the experience was overshadowed by a very confusing situation with their brunch drink deal. Both the board and menu clearly advertise a 2-for-1 cocktail deal, so we ordered two espresso martinis, expecting that to be straightforward. However, our waitress insisted that we had to order four drinks to qualify for the deal, even though we explicitly said we only wanted two. I then asked if my friend could do the deal while I

Ordered their iced Mocha and it was so disappointing.. It tasted like diluted chocolate milk. You can’t taste the espresso at all. We also tried their Açaí bowl (The Rider) and the açaí purée does not taste anything like açaí at all, AGAIN! Also, the texture of the açaí is like whipped cream. Overall, pretty disappointed with the lack of flavor of the drink and food.

Private rooms & an extensive song list lure warblers to this karaoke bar.
We booked a private karaoke room for our group of seven and had the time of our lives singing our little hearts out for three hours. Their karaoke system using the tv, mics, and provided tablet all worked great. And when we had a brief moment of connectivity issues with our mic, they quickly fixed it and we were back to scream singing 90's country songs in mere moments. They had a service button in our room for when we needed to request items from the bar. This button only seemed to work like h

I really like studying at the Bean because I can always find a table, and their coffee, smoothies, and food are good. I really like their acai bowls and pastries. (I don't recommend their matcha or chai, though.) Things are reasonably priced, and there's a 10% student discount. They are always playing the best music. We ordered one round of cocktails. I had the pretty in pink, which was sweet. Pretty good, sugary taste, not too alcohol forward which is what my wife was looking for (we shared). First time at Tokahachi after seeing good reviews and craving Japanese food in the East Village. We ordered the sushi set for two with miso soup. The miso soup was good, but the regular rolls were just okay, some were falling apart because the rice didn’t hold well. NYC offshoot of a longtime Las Vegas punk bar, best known for its bacon martinis.
I am writing this complaint with a heavy heart and deep frustration, because what I experienced on the evening of Monday, May 25th was not just poor service. It was racism, plain and simple. During dinner service, both employees and customers at your establishment displayed behavior that was discriminatory, disrespectful, and deeply unwelcome. I cannot believe that in this day and age, people still carry such hatred and genuinely wish for the downfall of others simply because of who they are.

Yum! I had tried insomnia cookies several times in the past (they make a mean cookies and cream cookie) but not from this location. Modern counter-serve spot for Taiwanese dumplings made from family recipes, plus seasonal specials.
The Mimi Cheng’s flavored dumplings were very juicy and I enjoyed them. I was disappointed in the Pork & Chive. They were not as juicy as the chicken and the triangular shape kept opening up. Dipping sauce was good, but not great. It was a little heavy on the vinegar and it looked like there was chili oil, but I didn’t taste any spice. Prices are a little on the high side even for the location. I like that you can see them being handmade there but it was underwhelming for me.
