We took the subway to Washington Heights to explore the neighborhoods and worked up an appetite. I picked out the Malecon restaurant in advance after reviewing the menu and the many good reviews. 

We were seated quickly and spent a few minutes looking over the substantial menu. 

I chose one of the daily specials and my wife selected what she thought would be lighter a bowl of their Sopa De Pollo. A server brought a plate of warm bread and after a few minutes our food arrived - it was plent

Went there for lunch today for takeout and there are petty quick I must say! Guy at the counter was very nice and didn’t rush me out of the store. My salad was very fresh and tasty. I think next time I’ll eat there outside. They have outside sitting.

I’ve been here twice and both times the tacos have been excellent. The Caribbean Carne taco with sweet plantains is a standout. The Carne Asada and the Mahi Mahi were beyond delicious. The meat on the asada and fish on the Mahi were flavored perfectly. The Birria Burrito was hearty and bursting with flavor and the bottled sauces they offer are crazy addicting. Shoutout to the helpful staff. So happy they have a location in the Heights & can’t wait to head back.

If you like waiting in a sea of door dash/uber eats delivery bike guys that all smell like onion and foot brûlèe then you're in the right place. Bonus points if you want them to not give you any sauces or napkins, if thats what you're looking for, this is the place to be. All the tables were dirty and the place was dirty. Went to the counter and ask the manager can she sent someone to clean a table for me, and she was hanging me a rag and I laughed 😅 and told her to do her job ,I don't work here and she came to the table with attitude and cleaned 2 tables and went back to kitchen. And there was a party there joking and not doing their jobs!!! I ordered the food and it was all cold 🥶 then it was a problem to reheat , so I told them to give me new hot food

Such an exceptional place! My husband and I found it on Yelp with great reviews and decided to give it a shot. We went on a Saturday morning for brunch and have to give it 10/10. The lemon ricotta pancakes and the short rib hash were delicious. We share everything so I would recommend this duo if you like a sweet and savory bite. Clean and well appointed McDonald's with 4 self-order kiosks. We visited on a busy Saturday morning but still received our food hot and in a timely fashion. recently visited Elsa Chicharrón in the Heights, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. NOW HERE'S A DOMINICAN CAKE. First place I went to with triangle slices which allowed for more frosting on the back end which matters more than you'd think. Amazing food! Although I ordered takeout this restaurant serves the best chips with guac hands down in all of NYC! the churrasco steak was 4/5 just because I was expecting a different taste but the steak was juicy nevertheless the rice and beans tasted really good.
