Came in outside of rush hours so no idea how busy jt gets, but the smoked beef brisket pho was a solid choice and I’d definitely come back for it. Really delicious broth and the meat was thick, fatty, and juicy. Order at the front and they’ll get your order - there’s water available in the corner next to the cashier. Outside has some additional seating. There’s also a $1 broth deal and someone recommended dipping the aoili garlic bread side in it, which I really want to try. Would def get th

I ordered the gluten free + vegan cheese pizza and drumroll….. it was actually tasty!! even though the cheese looks terrible, it’s actually really good!! The bread, although thin, still makes you feel like you’re eating a nice slice. I would come back. I got a square slice with basil, pesto, garlic and mushrooms 😋🤤😋🤤 One star off because it was $9 for a gluten free, vegan cheese slice with 3 toppings. A bit pricey. But honestly I’m used to it. 😂

I normally come in here in the morning g to have their delicious breakfast and normally greeted with a smile and a good morning. This morning however as soon as I waked in a woman behind the counter yells from behind the counter. Sanatize your hands before you share your food please. I normally do but no problem. Mind you this woman and I have had great conversations in the morning. Anyway in addition to getting food I normally talk on my cellphone with my husband while he’s driving home from w

Number 7 is exactly what you need in a relaxed neighborhood joint. No pretentions. Great cocktails and solid wine and beer options. A tasty burger and over-flowing plates of fries. And a long inviting bar with no TVs blaring away. The perfect place for a casual meal or a drink and good conversation. The only downside is it's only open Wednesday through Saturday.

Turk’s Inn was an absolutely magical experience. The drinks were phenomenal, especially their White Russian for dessert with homemade tahini. Don’t skip on the fries, they look totally normal but are cooked and spiced to perfection. Relish plate is necessary and we ordered extra pickles on the side. This will be a repeat stop every time we’re in NYC!

Long-standing tavern serving domestic & imported beers alongside a small menu of German pub eats.
I was in Ridgewood for a wake and having come directly from work was looking for someplace local to eat. Someone recommended Goettscheer Hall and my first reaction was surprise. This is somewhere I came to as a kid to learn to sing German songs and attend weddings. I'm happy I took the suggestion. The menu is right in my wheelhouse and very reasonably priced. I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the old neighborhood again. I was sad to see that the bumper pool table was gone, the bartender said

Jamaican Plant-Based Birthday Vibes We celebrated my sister’s birthday at Verdure and it delivered on both food and experience. The plant-based Jamaican cuisine was full of flavor, well-seasoned, and satisfying—even our non–plant-based (vegetarian) family members were impressed. Nothing felt like it was missing. We arrived early afternoon and had no issue finding seating for our group of five. The added bonus is a parking lot, which is rare in Brooklyn and made things much easier for our fami

Disrespectful staff. Went in yesterday and asked what time they were going to start selling the dunkin buckets. They told me today at 10 am. So imagine my surprise when I’m getting calls from friends at 7 am telling me they sold all the buckets. I got there and they all looked at me like I had 7 heads and was asked why I wasn’t there earlier. I asked them why they told me 10 am if they were actually selling the buckets at opening and they told me it was because people were ordering them at 7 am.

Everything here was delicious! We grabbed a 5pm res and were seated right away. We started with the wontons in chili oil which were good, and the chili oil was delicious. For entrees we had the spicy cumin lamb, mapo tofu, and mustard green fried rice. I loved everything but the mapo tofu was my favorite. It was a good amount of food for 2 people and we had enough for leftovers as well. They have a good happy hour deal with drinks as well.

Intimate, high-end Japanese restaurant featuring seasonal omakase menus with a focus on tempura.
I’ve been to a couple of great tempura restaurants in Asia and loved the experience, so I’ve been looking forward to trying Tempura Matsui for a while. And it definitely delivered. Service was outstanding, as you’d expect at a small, counter-style restaurant like this, and the food takes tempura to a completely different level than what most people are used to. Each piece was cooked with incredible precision, and there were some really memorable combinations, like the snow crab wrapped in shiso

This small neighborhood café serves Latin American–style food (I’m not entirely sure from which region), but what stands out is how fresh everything tastes. I’ve been here twice so far. My first visit was for morning coffee and a quick breakfast. The coffee was decent, and I ordered eggs, salami, and pancakes to go. The eggs were scrambled and cooked a bit on the well-done side, the pancakes were fine, but the salami was missing from my order—which I didn’t go back to correct. My husband, howev

Wonderful omakase experience. Every course was fresh, beautifully prepared, and well balanced in flavor. Instead of the chef explaining each fish, the restaurant provides a small brochure with pictures and descriptions of the seafood used in the meal. I thought this was a very clever idea because it lets guests learn more about the fish at their own pace while eating. The brochure made the experience more engaging and educational. It included details about the characteristics, flavor, habitat,

A gem of a brunch spot in Williamsburg Brooklyn — and the people make it special! Had a wonderful time at Two Hands and honestly can’t stop thinking about it. The place itself is super cute and cozy but never had a positive experience there. The coffee is pretty bad and the pastries taste like they are from a grocery store. I never met a barista who seemed like they wanted to be there and are always wildly rude. Longtime watering hole with a weathered bar & pool table in a nautical-themed setting near Pier 6.
Montero sits near Pier 6, slightly removed from the busier parts of the neighborhood, and feels very much like a classic neighborhood watering hole. The space leans heavily into a nautical theme, with a rustic, time-capsule quality that gives it a certain charm.
