Easygoing hangout, famed for its eponymous owner, features pool, video games & a laid-back vibe.
We went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and approached the bartender politely requesting one song. He told us “we don’t do that here,” and we just said okay, not arguing at all. We only asked because we saw an out of service jukebox, so assumed that there was a chance they were taking requests. We proceeded to order two beers, in which we didn’t tip because it was $16 for Miller Lites that take one second to open. The bartender proceeds to look and check if we left a tip, sees we didn’t,

This place was a lot more than I expected. Just a random now “halal” chicken spot at the corner of Steinway street with nothing but its looks and advertising to go off of. My curiosity was peaked so I went to go have a look and wouldn’t you believe it, it was pretty cool. I mean the scenery itself was pretty standard and basic and the seating arrangements were subpar with any other chicken restaurant establishment but looking at the menu was the key. You have 2 ways to make your order: Either th

Absolutely loved my experience at LOX at the Jewish Museum. The server Arlan really made the visit very special was the service.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Arlan went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience you can tell he truly cares about the guests. It’s rare to find service that leaves such a strong impression. Service like this is rare and made our visit so memorable. Can’t wait to com

A must-visit for South Indian food in Rockefeller Center! The self-service ordering process is seamless, and the food is outstanding. The ghee dosa was perfectly extra-crispy just like we asked, the kheema ghee dosa was packed with flavor, and the vegetable uttapam "taco" was a fun, delicious twist. Even the upma was great. My only critique is that the filter coffee comes pre-sweetened and was a little too sweet for me. Highly recommended!

Hit or Miss. But you need to know… This is not your local hookah spot. This is for Yemeni men. The back seating area which is very nice Yemeni style is for men only. They will not tell you that they will just say “oh we have reservations at 6 o’clock” and so we sat in the front and no one came in at 6 o’clock and there was plenty of empty rooms but anyway I get it because it’s for the men. Now at least the hookah should be good. It was not this time. I came before a few time, sat in the front, a

This was my first time there, I passed by their place to have my lunch somewhere else. Their shop caught my eyes suddenly and I decided to go back there after I had my lunch around the corner. Their shop was simple, mostly decorated in black. Asked the lady, what kind of drink is popular there but went back to my usual Iced latte with oak milk ( no sweetener in it ) . I love their strong coffee scent, perfect blend for me. The place was quiet and simple.

Japanese restaurant with a tavern vibe & bar offering a mix of sushi, rolls & kitchen-cooked plates.
A very good spot for sushi, with affordable prices and nice staffs. This place has been my favorite sushi spot in UES. If you walk by, you might think this is very boring/old place. However, if you taste its sushi! you will change your mind. They carry very fresh quality of sushi and other rolls. Also, offers lunch menu which has enough portions. Staffs are always nice, and I see regular customers all the time here! kids-friendly of course. Outdoor seats are possible when it's nice outside!

The food was healthy and light on the stomach, this is cleaning eating. Wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great, breast was dry. Lacked flavor to me, slight hint of herbs. The cucumbers were good, but tasted of sesame oil only. Overall not bad but lacked a lot. Place is a bit small so it’s hard to maneuver. Customer service was good, and it was clean imo.

Local outpost of an acclaimed Tokyo restaurant specializing in chicken skewers cooked over charcoal.
At one of New York’s rare Michelin one-star yakitori restaurants, I was reminded how extraordinary chicken can be. The Welcome Appetizer, Sake Kasu Char Siu was the perfect opening, with rich sake lees aroma complementing the tender, flavorful char siu. Every skewer that followed was exceptional. The Thigh achieved the perfect balance of a beautifully charred exterior and an incredibly juicy, tender interior. The Tail delivered an irresistible richness from its rendered fat, while the Chicken

I went on Chinese New Year and they literally had a line the whole day. We decided to just come back at night and there was still a line, but surprisingly it only took around five to ten minutes. It was actually really quick and moved smoothly. I got the milk cake, coffee floss cake, and egg tart and all of them were amazing. I was so impressed with how soft the cake sandwiches were. They were super fluffy and not overly sweet at all, just perfectly balanced. It made them so easy to enjoy witho

First time back since they changed hands and name(ownership). The view was INCREDIBLE as always. As for the food and service it was TOP NOTCH! Thank you to Ricky our bartender for helping us with the food and drinks selection. We ordered the grilled octopus which came ontop of a well seasoned bean like sauce WHICH WAS DELICIOUS to dip into with the garlic bread that came with this order. We also ordered the lamb meatballs and the sauce(sweet tzatziki sauce) it came with was also quite delicious

Trendy, compact eatery serving creative pizzas, vegetable dishes & salads, plus beers.
Public Display of Affection in Brooklyn is a warm, welcoming family pizza spot with a relaxed, genuine atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and the whole place feels comfortable and unpretentious. The highlight is their meatball pizza, which is truly excellent. The meatballs are flavorful and tender, paired with a rich sauce, melted cheese, and a perfectly balanced crust—crispy outside, soft inside. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy quality food with family or friends. Defin

Walked by this spot and popped in to give it a try. Positives, the Cuban was pretty big. But it was a little dry could use a little more sauce, maybe some mayo or aoli or something. The Ruben was okay. Bread was nice and buttery and crispy, it was missing thousand island sauce which for me is a requirement on a Ruben.

Basic nook crafting chewy Malaysian-style beef, pork & chicken jerky in varied spice levels.
This might be the most underrated snack in Chinatown. They make Malaysian Chinese-style jerky at Malaysia Beef Jerky, and it’s not your typical jerky - it’s soft, tender, smoky, and sweet. It’s closer to smoky barbecue candy than the dry, leathery jerky most people are used to. They have pork, beef, and chicken options (I like the pork one the most). The flavors are bold but balanced, not too salty and not too dry. Everything is grilled fresh right in front of you, so you get it warm with a slig

First and foremost, the space is perfect for events in the 150-200 person range (not official it's my thought) . The layout is spacious and flexible, allowing fo

The portions were far bigger than Rezdora, like three times the portion. Felt very nice from a value perspective. If Rezdora menu is a 10 on execution and ingredients, then this is like a flat 7. Which is fine btw. I don't know my pasta exceptionally well, but their pasta didn't seem like freshly made, or the flour used isn't like the kind they use in Italy, because it didn't feel friendly on the digestive tract. Further, the pastas were good, but they were very one dimensional (meat pasta was

Words can’t fully capture how I feel about this café. It’s incredibly cute and cozy, with some of the best coffee and croissants I’ve ever had, and the Mexican toast was unforgettable. What truly made the experience special, though, was the staff. I had the chance to chat more with Anushka, and she is absolutely wonderful, so kind, warm, and genuine. This was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in the U.S., and it made my trip to NYC feel truly unique and beautiful.😍♥️

We came here for Tapas Tuesday and it was delicious!! The staff was amazing and there was even an artist painting a mural on the wall during dinner which was such a cool experience. All the tapas we tried were incredible but I highly recommend the croquettes! The orange wine they had was very good. Can’t recommend this place enough! They also do paella on weekends which I will definitely be going back for to try.

Really enjoyed our visit here. We ordered Combo 1 with the spicy fried chicken breast (small) and iced lemon tea. Then, we added popcorn chicken (thigh meat) as well. We chose the sweet plum seasoning this time, a little sweeter than our personal preference, but still tasty. Next time we definitely want to try the cumin or salt & pepper flavors instead. The spicy fried chicken breast was actually our favorite. Super flavorful, crispy, not too salty and surprisingly juicy without being dry at a
