We stopped at this Bon Chon location on 1st Avenue between 21/22 one day as we were going home from shopping in Chinatown. We ordered the mixed medium size chicken combo with coleslaw and split it. It included 6wings and 2 drumsticks. We selected the soy garlic flavor. It was really delicious. Nice and crunchy. My only complaint was that the side of coleslaw was tiny. It should be twice as big. All in all, it was delicious and well worth the money.

I really enjoyed myself here. It feels like a intimate neighborhood hookah spot they even serve mocktails and the hookah is really good and reasonably priced. I visited twice while I was in New York. The first time that I came they seated us right away but it did take them a while for someone to service us. I had to stop a random server even though multiple people were walking past us.

Sad to see food quality has deteriorated. If you get the double cheeseburger it would most likely be fine. If you get the triple cheese burger they clearly start cutting corners. Barely any cheese. Hands down one of the most satisfying fried chicken sandwiches you can find in Brooklyn. The chicken is perfectly crisp with a light, crunchy coating that never feels heavy. What really stands out is the consistency. I have been ordering from here for years and the quality has never dropped, even after I moved farther away. The food is good but I would be careful eating from here. I just saw workers coughing into their hands and scratching their head. All behind the counter, next to the food. Btw, those are the same people who will fix your plate. They also change the prices on a whim and are rude when you ask about it. They had a small lunch special plate for around 6/7 dollars. Skin is very soft and thin ( can break easily, pick up carefully) lots of soup inside. The noodle is good but I feel like they can add a few more pieces of chicken in there.

The two hispanic guys that usually bring the deliveries, they both are very nice, respectful , and always behave in a professional manner. Sumit is the best and gave great exceptional customer service! I called with my lady and I asked if we could still get served if we get there a little before closing. He said why wouldn’t we? From the moment you walk in the Oriental Plaza, the employees make it very clear that they hate you. On November 25th, 2025 my family came here for dinner. Celebrated my graduation here with large party of 13 and couldn’t have had a better experience. The service was phenomenal, accommodating every request. The food and drinks were incredible — we did their set menu and it was so good we had to order more of each dish. And the atmosphere and overall experience was all I could’ve asked for. The first time I went to this Popeyes I said to myself “man, these customers are being really mean to these workers” Today, I waited 35 minutes for my 12.00 order of 3 items and the girl handing out the orders laughed at me when I said “hey where’s my food I’ve been waiting for 35 minutes” I now understand why the local patrons are so mean to these workers and I now wish they would bully them harder.

FOOD: I just happened upon this quick service restaurant and wow the food is incredible. I decided to try the Beria taco fish taco and Kearny Asada taco as well as the Beria soup. The tacos were five dollars each, which honestly is comparable to some great tacos, I’ve had in San Diego. I have to come out and say that this is an amazing little store.The ice cream is absolutely incredible in flavor, and in my opinion well worth the prices! Just note that this is a very small store and the variety of flavors is limited. While I can understand that sometimes this store can get busy. It would help the overall customer experience.
