Casual Swiss spot with European rail-station-restaurant vibe & a hidden late-night space in back.
First time here and I liked it. Just needed a quick bite and coffee. Cozy place with a nice small room in the back, for more privacy. Friend had the mac & cheese, which I sampled. Yummy. I had eggs with hash browns. Very filling. I'm a New Yorker born & raised, but don't frequent the area much, as it's touristy. But, if you want to people watch and relax, thus is a decent spot. Will be back!

Mediterranean chow served in a funky, exposed-brick space with antiques & occasional live jazz.
We randomly stumbled into Antique Garage SoHo on a Sunday afternoon while walking around SoHo. Unfortunately, I wish we had kept walking and eaten somewhere else. The ambiance is what convinced us to sit down. It truly is beautiful inside! The artwork, vintage frames, and chandeliers give the restaurant a unique atmosphere. I'd love to give this spot another try since I have heard many positive things about their dinner service and live jazz nights. To start, I typically order tap water at any

Elegant outpost of the Midtown original, with creative Mediterranean fare & private outdoor dining.
The food was average at best, and considering the small portions and high prices, I can't recommend it at all. It's very easy to find good Mediterranean food in NYC and this place really disappointed me. None of the food tasted or looked fresh, which was the most evident in the salad, where all the ingredients were mushed together. The staff was distracted: they forgot things, they took a plate away with food and I had to ask them to return it, and generally weren't around to check. The summer

Excellent vegan food! Delicious, very diverse, and unique. There are lots of cooked dishes and great options for healthy, varied bowls. I highly recommend trying the sushi and the coconut ceviche. The staff is lovely. Highly recommended.

Iconic, late-night brasserie featuring seafood, American dishes, and cocktails in a convivial setting.
We ordered a dozen oysters and BBQ pork spare ribs. Both were delicious. The ribs came with a little fire in case you want to crisp them up more which was cool but they were cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. We also ordered a ceaser salad and fries which never ended up making it to us after quite some time of the waiter not checking on us. Honestly, that was fine with us because the ribs filled us up. The music was a little too loud to hear the wait staff but overall the expirience was g

Tea shop featuring hundreds of teas (with a tasting bar & tea flights) & a small cafe in back.
Went early on the weekend at opening and there was a line. I got the scones and a iced tea. The scones were declines with the cream and the ice tea was nice and fruity. They have a few different sweeteners and a ton of teas to buy. I also got two loose teas which were good but didnt taste like the names.

Traditional Mexican menu of classic dishes, margaritas & coffee in a low-key corner dining room.
Loved my Mexican themed brunch at this 35 year old SoHo Institution last week. Everything is super fresh and homemade. Absolutely devoured the shrimp fajitas and quesadilla The vibes are super chill and the menu is East L.A. themed with an assortment of brunch classics and some of their house specials like the fajitas and an array of tacos and burritos.

This is one of the few restaurants I would go back to over & over again. The food was delicious! Everything we ordered was out of this world. I highly recommend trying the pickled vegetables, the pita w/spread dish, and the steak! Wow! All those flavors blending in my mouth followed by the red wine… we also went on a night when they had discounts on wines. You have to try this restaurant!

French bistro classics draw SoHo shoppers to this spot with huge windows that open onto the street.
Top french restaurant in New York: very good music, very good food, very good people. You need to make a reservation! You are quickly seated and served, the french waiter is very professionnal. The soup gratinee (oignon and cheese) is perfect. The cabillaud fish with ratatouille is fresh and cooked at the right temperature. I moved into the neighborhood recently and this place consistently impresses. I went to the restaurant for the first time last week and sat at the bar. I forget her name but the woman bartending was amazing! I come into Eataly through the cafe and am always greeted by the cafe staff. It’s a nice refresh to the stale customer service i’ve experienced throughout the city. I am mostly in there for groceries though. Ground Support Cafe has officially become my SoHo coffee stop. Inspired by Melbourne and tucked right into West Broadway, it has that relaxed, neighborhood living room feel where people actually linger, read, and talk, not just grab and go. We ordered a flat white, a cappuccino, and the oats, and I would come back for all three. The espresso tastes like a true medium roast, smooth and balanced, with zero bitterness and lots of flavor. The flat white had silky microfoam and the most perfect sw

3.5 stars, bumping it up for the vibes. Came for the Peking duck on Mother’s Day (reserve in advance!) and it wasn’t the best Peking duck I’ve had in the city but still very good. I will note however they’re generous with the portion size!! Sadly they don’t serve the traditional soup with it. Marinated cucumbers were refreshing and very flavorful, well done. Mushroom dumplings were the unexpected favorite of the night. Crab soup dumplings had virtually no crab flavor and were just fine soup dump

Old-school diner serving pancakes & other breakfast favorites, plus burgers & wraps in a cozy space.
Landmark Coffee Shop is a fun old-school diner with the kind of traditional breakfast atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It appeared to be run by a husband-and-wife team, which added to the warm and personal feel of the place. Everyone was very kind and pleasant while seating us, taking our order, and making sure we were taken care of. Once we sat down, we made our selections and placed our order, and the food came out relatively quickly. The portions were large, and everything we ha

We had a very nice family dinner there. Super nice ambience and service. None of the dishes really wowed me. I would still recommend trying the gnocchi which they make from ricotta cheese. The saffron risotto I think missed the mark. But super nice ambience and lighting, we had a good time!

Offshoot of a longtime French restaurant with Italian & Provençal fare in stylish but casual digs.
We visited this lovely Italian restaurant with my family to celebrate our mom’s birthday. There were five of us. The service was wonderful — the staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was good, but I wouldn’t say it was anything special. My husband didn’t like the meat dish he ordered, and my mom’s pasta was too spicy. My pasta, however, was perfectly fine. The atmosphere inside is very pleasant — I would even describe it as romantic.

One of my favorite coffee spots in New York. They have two locations, and the coffee has always been incredibly consistent. You know exactly what you’re getting every time—rich, smooth, and well-crafted. This time I ordered a matcha, while my friend got the Tiramisu Latte, and honestly… the Tiramisu Latte stole the show. 🤎 It was creamy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The only thing that made me pause was the price—about $11 for one drink. A little painful for my wallet. 💸 We stopped by

SoHo Cigar Bar.... a really awesome establishment if you like cigars, drinks and great food. Nearly everytime I'm there it is packed, and it should be, its a great place! They have a back area which gets used for private event space and a great bar. They provide phone chargers which is very cool and on the weekends there is free parking all around the area. A nice cafe, that specializes in matcha. I already had their regular matcha in a different branch, and it was quite good, so this time I wanted to try something new and went for the daydream matcha, that had honey & cinnamon. As expected, it was obviously sweeter than just plain matcha, but it was delicious and refreshing, and a new take on matcha that I haven't tried before. Loved it, and would definitely come back here to try some more of their original matcha drinks.

Matchaful feels like it was created for serious matcha purists maybe? Like a light roast coffee, it’s not catered to the masses or a young pallet. The space is calm and intentional, very plant forward, and you can tell right away that this is not another sugary coffee chain. I enjoyed the small menu and intimate feel of the restaurant. The food feels very homestyle, simple but done well, comforting but not heavy. Got the set of 8 for $25 + tax (so about $3.40 each)! We enjoyed all of them (crabmeat, avocado, mushroom, spicy mushroom, beef bulgogi, spicy chicken). I think the spicy chicken was my favorite, it wasn’t too spicy but very flavorful. Not necessary the cheapest ever but 3 of them filled me, the portion was enough for a light lunch. As shown in the photo, there appeared to be a purple onion or similar ingredient with a strange white residue/discoloration on it, which did not look fresh or appetizing. I stopped by Sorate at 103 Sullivan St for a matcha-focused experience, and overall it was a memorable visit with a few caveats. 📍 Atmosphere & Vibe The space is very small and minimalist — think a cozy, dimly lit spot with only a handful of counter seats.
