A reinvention of a Chinatown classic with Shanghai staples like soup dumplings in a smart setting.
I've only been here during the lunch hours and it can get quite crowded. The staff are very adamant about where you sit. I wanted to change my seat and the waiter just ignored my request and walked away. Another time, I wanted to position my chair for more space and the waiter said no. Other than the disrespectful staff, the food here is very good. I tried the fish fillet and it is crispy and delicious. The eggplant over rice is amazing as well. The lunch specials are affordable and you get

Absolutely fantastic. The whole place is a vibe. The decor is great. The crowd is great. The food, omg..... amazing. Just simply amazing. Probably the best hot pot experience I have ever had. Everything was delicious. Runs on the spicy side, and I do not say that lightly as I love spicy food. So, if you like medium spicy, get the mild, LOL. The broth was fantastic, so so flavorful. The sauce station had everything. The meats were so good, amazing quality. The enochi mushrooms were absolutely di

Great staff. Food does not have enough “wok hei” meaning whoever is handling the wok either is not strong enough to toss or they are not cooking it long enough. Flavors on 3 out of 4 dishes were bland too spice department wise: razor clams, fried A choi with salted back bean dace (0 smoky taste), and crab fried rice. The sweet and sour pork chops were lathered with sauce so the flavor is good but the “wok hei” is missing and that’s pivotal for Cantonese food. Atmosphere is lively and friendly, n

We went here during the fall 2025 with my wife and daughter on a food tour. We sampled the chive and pork fried dumplings. These dumplings were so good that we came back the next day and ordered 28 in one sitting! This was the cheapest meal we got our entire trip and it was easily the best meal we had the entire trip. Even tho the service was okay and the place didn’t look very nice. The dumplings made up for it completely. We will suggest tasty dumplings to anyone we know visiting NYC. When we

Disappointed with my experience. The food was very good, but the portions were tiny considering the high price. You’re better off going to any other chinese restaurant in the lower east side or 8th ave in brooklyn for same quality, larger quantity, and lower price. On top of all of that, the service was not great, even for a chinese restaurant. Despite the restaurant only having two other tables, it took ten minutes to even get menus. Wait was understandable considering we ordered a lot of food,

Finished a nice stroll in Central Park and viewing of the cherry blossoms, on my way to work, decided to check out this location as it was close to my job. Upon entering around 2-3pm it was surprisingly empty. We got sat down pretty quickly and ordered the beef broccoli and chicken basil. Sadly the problem started with receiving the wrong order, we got chicken broccoli instead of beef. Another flaw with the waitstaff was they put someone else’s dish in front of us. Best place. I’ve been going there since I was a child and they have never failed me. I don’t live in nyc anymore but I always make it a point to make sure to eat there. Nothing compares. Most of the clientele has been going there for decades and are loyal customers. I’ve been to this buffet in the morning, and the food itself isn’t terrible, but you can tell a lot of it is from the night before. It feels like they just warm things up and put them back out. The salmon, tuna, and most of the fish dishes were the biggest disappointment. They still had that strong fishy smell and taste, so I wouldn’t recommend those at all. The dessert section was actually pretty good, and there was a decent variety overall. I’d say about half of the items on the buffet seemed

Great spot for delicious Chinese food! I sat at the bar (shoutout to the bartender Kevin for amazing service!) & started off with the baijiu flight. I’ve never had it before so he was kind enough to walk me through the different aromas & tastes associated to each baijiu. I also ordered the Night Market Chow Fun which was delicious. Their menu is fairly expansive as they have quite a bit of options to choose from. Would definitely recommend stopping by here!

Visited ULUH after hearing that Jennie recently stopped by, and I’m glad I finally came back. It’s actually been about a year since my last visit, and the food was just as good as I remembered. We ordered some of the dishes that were said to be Jennie’s picks, including the Brown Sugar Peking Duck, pumpkin balls, and a bottle of Kikusui sake. The duck was definitely a standout. Amazing Asian Cuisine! By far some of the best Chinese food I have ever enjoyed. The duck was fabulous - crispy and moist. The orange chicken was by far the best I have ever had. OK, let’s talk about it. I seen this restaurant hype up so much on social media. I tried it out with my family and I was disappointed first it took the waiter about 25 minutes to greet me and my family to take our order second the atmosphere seems so plain and old with no updates the food we order my family couldn’t finish it because it was tasteless and my steak was so thin I don’t think you can call it a steak however I will never ever eat at this establishment again

Didn’t expect a Jiangzhe style restaurant to do Changsha stinky tofu this well, but it was honestly great and now I don’t feel the need to go all the way to Flushing for it. The bamboo shoot soup had that rich, milky broth and was super comforting. You get to pick what meats and veggies you want, they weight it, you pick your broth then pay. If you are eating in, they do have a sign saying that you must tip if you dine in—which is kind of off-putting. The broth was delicious and they have a sauce bar so you can make your own dip. Excellent food with affordable price and generous portion! It’s really rare these days to find such a place that has such a perfect combo. We ordered pork soup dumpling, braised beef noodle soup, aozao noodle soup, and eight treasures rice pudding, all of them were really nice. Missed the ginger slices for the pork dumplings but not a big deal. The broth of the aozao was rich and not fishy at all, better than the beef broth. The noodle was very smooth and silky. Perfect low-key restaurant with such amazing Uyghur cuisine. It was my first time trying Uyghur food and it was amazing. Definitely would recommend the special Laghman and Big chicken plate (Better to share). The dumplings were also amazing and and would highly recommend either the Gosh nan and the Samsa. The Hunan food here is really delicious, and I love that you can choose the spice level. It’s very friendly for people who can’t handle super spicy food. Tried this newly opened buffet in Queens and was pleasantly surprised, especially for the price. We had dim sum here, which runs to 3 pm on weekdays, the food came fast and was surprisingly good. We didn't expect this level of dim sum authenticity outside Flushing. Haven’t come here in a while. I ordered fried meat dumplings and soup dumplings to start my dinner. The dried dumplings came suspiciously fast, and I was right. They were precooked and kept heated. The dumpling itself was nice. The flavor was nice. It was the texture that was a bit off. The bottom was burnt but not crispy enough. A few of them were broken and the filling was visible. The soup dumplings were okay. It was steaming hot. The wrapping was nicely done, but just a bit too thick to my

The first time I came here, I was dragged in by my wife and sister in law. I wasn’t that hungry at the time but they had me try the items they ordered. I am more of an entree-type of person and never really like rice. They had me try one of th signature dishes - rice in a clay pot with different meats. OMG! The best Hunan style Fish Head with chopped chili peppers! I have been searching this dish in various cities and this is the best one I have tasted — rivals the best Hunan restaurants in Shanghai. Fresh, flavorful, the perfect amount of spice, served in a huge ceramic basin. Will definitely return and bring family & friends. The restaurant also has a big menu with lots of other authentic Chinese dishes that I want to try next time.
