One of the best meals we have had in NYC. Claud completely delivered: intimate room, great energy, excellent service, a serious wine list, and food that was creative without feeling forced. If you are looking to just pop in and grab some pastries this would be a good spot. Ordered a few items for breakfast and coffee to go. Regular coffee was quick any espresso drink expect to wait for 15 minutes. While the pastries are good I am not confident they are made in the store. When we ordered the French cream doughnut the cream in the middle seemed frozen. Others enjoy the passion fruit and lemon tartes. I was disappointed to learn that the smoothies, especially the Very Berry Smoothie, have been discontinued. My Husband and I are new to this neighborhood we love going here for our coffee and breakfast and even lunch. I’ve never had a bad cup of coffee here and they’re avocado toast and leeks on everything bagel are my favorites so far and I love that I don’t have to go far, I haven’t tried them in evening for wine yet. The tuna samousas were pretty good but they were smaller than expected like cocktail size. The rougail sauciesse with rice and lentils were delicious, and I'm surprised they served silverware out of a vintage-looking can. The inside of the restaurant felt a bit cozy, and sauce to meatball ratio was pretty good. I wish the portions were larger though especially for the appetizers. Overall, it's a nice addition since finding Reunion food in the US is pretty rare.

Pretty OK steak tartare, but overly acidic and that “dried” yolk is funny. The salad is also extremely acidic but thankfully i got a side of fries (yes, a steak tartare that doesn’t come with fries lol) and they were pretty good!

The lamb burger was good, the margarita was good, the service was good, a word that kept showing up like a polite houseguest who never quite makes themselves at home.
