A modern take on traditional Korean comfort food. Budae Ji Gae, Ja Jang Myun, and Kim Bap with a little fusion. All three were very good.. The Ja Jang Myun had a little smoky flavor to it. The creamy udon with shrimp and squid was really good and creative. The true star was the sweet corn pancake, which everyone seems to be ordering.. There’s always a line and the place is crowded so it’s difficult to get a seat.. But definitely worth the worth wait. I was told the menu changes regula

Located in the heart of K-Town, Gopchang Story offers an elegant yet approachable setting with quality cuts and top-tier service. The staff assists with the grilling to ensure everything is cooked perfectly. If you are looking for authentic flavors and a lively atmosphere, Gopchang Story BBQ is an excellent choice. My husband and I had a wonderful experience there during our visit to New York. For a memorable trip, I highly recommend enjoying a high-energy KBBQ dinner at this location 🫶🤎

Kimgane is one of my favorite spots! I always go for the vegetable roll ramen or the pork cutlets, they’re both amazing! Plus, they serve complimentary miso soup, which is a nice touch. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s usually no more than 15 minutes, which isn’t bad at all. Definitely recommend this place!

Food was delicious and owner was very nice! We even got 2 free egg dishes (I’m not sure if it was because we had more people or if it was for everyone but it was still great nonetheless!) I got gamjatang (감자탕) and it was delicious, just wish it came with more potatoes, meat, and veggies most of it was just bone and broth. The bulgugi (불고기) was one of my favorites, really loved the flavor. I also ordered the mango banana smoothie, which was a bit pricey but it was still good, not much mango flavo

Korean restaurant featuring noodle dishes, soups & pancakes in a little space with blond-wood decor.
Large selection of noodle soups, wide noodles are cooked well and good portion size. You must get their Korean pancakes here, best around. Super crispy, fluffy and kind of slightly deep dish style which I haven't seen from any other Korean restaurant. They don't provide a selection of ban chan( sides) just a little kimchi and pickled radish.

Nubiani is a premium Korean BBQ restaurant in Koreatown, and it operates at a level that is noticeably different from most of what the neighborhood offers. The space is well designed, the kind of room that feels intentional from the lighting down to the table setup, and the ventilation is genuinely excellent. You will not leave smelling like smoke, which is not something you can say about most places in this category. The format here is tableside cooking handled entirely by a dedicated chef, wh

had my birthday dinner at Kochi tonight. the food was amazing, it's definitely beyond typical one star quality. the flavors of each dish are very unique and surprises you with each dish. you won't feel repetitive. we also added the chef special abalone. my favorites tonight were definitely the first dish tofu with asparagus soup and the lavender duck. the only dish i didn't enjoy as much was the broth for the halibut, it was too salty and heavy for my liking. overall, the food and service exceed

Found another low-key Korean spot that seriously surprised me. Everything we ordered was solid, and the free banchan was a nice bonus. The kimchi scallion pancake was crispy outside and soft inside, cut into small pieces which made it perfect for sharing. The stone pot bibimbap had that crispy rice at the bottom I love, and the bulgogi was tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. The spicy squid was made with squid tentacles only—chewy, a little spicy, and super addictive. The budae-style

My friends and I came here for first time to celebrate a birthday and had an incredible experience. The service was amazing and the staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was seriously so good. The pajeon was the probably the best I’ve had in NYC (so fluffy & so soft) so far, and the fried broccoli was nothing like I’ve had before (so unique and yummy). The meat was high quality, and it probably helped that the staff cooked it for us. The japchae was delicious, alt

The popcorn chicken was so good. I think it was my favorite dish of everything we ordered, and the potatoes were perfectly done. The pasta was good, but I didn’t go crazy about it. The shrimp toast was good, and the sauce was excellent. The mushroom bibimbap was tasty and had a kind of coconut flavor at the end. The restaurant was very loud; I couldn’t hear what the people at my table were saying. The service was all over the place. They had a problem with the AC unit dripping, so they put a pa

I really enjoyed this spot—especially the 3-dish combo option, which is perfect if you want variety without committing to just one entrée. The ability to mix different Chinese and Korean-style dishes on one plate made the meal feel customizable and satisfying. The flavors were solid across the board. Each dish had its own distinct taste, and nothing felt like an afterthought. Portions were generous, and the combo format makes it a great value for the price. The atmosphere was casual and easygo

Had a reservation for two and were seated without any issues. The staff were nice. Just a heads up, they only accept cash or Amex. We started with the jelly salad, it was refreshing and flavorful. The seafood pancake, which was pretty good overall, but it did have some spicy chili peppers mixed in. I have a low spice tolerance, so the spice was getting to me. A really large restaurant near NYU. Good for larger groups, and the price is pretty good. I liked the pickles and kimchi, and the meat wasn’t bad. Good bulgogi and pork belly and cheek, but I did NOT enjoy the intestines and red wine pork belly. Service was good and we had our cooking plate changed 3 times, food came out fast, but the restaurant wasn’t very full and it was so cold inside I saw a server take off the cooking plate on an empty table, light himself a fire, and start warming his hand

We’ve been here twice already, and we absolutely love it! The food and service have been consistently amazing. The first Korean American restaurant to get a Michelin star first of all so it has a legacy. Second of all Hooni Kim’s food is simply amazing, Korean food at its best. The bulgogi sliders are a must as iconic as Kogi taco in LA ever was, as is the kimchi fried rice. We’ve eaten at this restaurant four times now. The previous visits were all fine, but this time all three dishes we ordered were disappointing. The spice levels were inconsistent—one dish was so bland it was completely inedible, and the noodles were too hard. Another dish had broken, overcooked noodles, and even though we ordered medium spicy, it turned out extremely spicy. The fried shrimp used to be our favorite, but this time it was so hard it was difficult to chew. There weren’t even many

One of the best special-occasion dinners I’ve had in NYC. I brought my partner to Jua for his birthday, and he said it was the best birthday restaurant I’ve ever taken him to. A great little karaoke bar with private rooms. I thought the staff was nice and the prices were reasonable ($7 a person per hour). They could have put us in a slightly larger room as we had to use stools, but I do understand wanting to have a larger room available for a bigger group.
