Be careful when dining here. We were only 3 people, but a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill without any explanation. The service wasn’t that good. We had to ask for tap water after ordering food. If this is the restaurant’s policy, it should be clearly communicated upfront—not left for customers to discover on the receipt. Definitely check your bill before paying.

We took the subway to Washington Heights to explore the neighborhoods and worked up an appetite. I picked out the Malecon restaurant in advance after reviewing the menu and the many good reviews. We were seated quickly and spent a few minutes looking over the substantial menu. I chose one of the daily specials and my wife selected what she thought would be lighter a bowl of their Sopa De Pollo. A server brought a plate of warm bread and after a few minutes our food arrived - it was plent

The Bloody Mary and the extra dirty martini are yummy! The fried mussels were a complete new concept for us and we loved it!!! The fried sea bass was lovely The potato salad was not shabby. The onion on top was amazing. Just wish there was more octopus. The gildas was interesting. Absolutely enjoyed the anchovy!! Our server Maria was lovely. But I felt like she was extremely overworked and needed another person to handle all the drinks and order taking. Overall quite a lovely spot for a few ap

Great spot with a fun atmosphere, not overly intimate but still has a nice vibe. Came in for an early lunch and the food was tasty from the very first bite, instantly delicious. Looks like a solid place to catch a game or sporting event too. Flipped through their menu while I was there and the brunch menu looks seriously good. Top-notch food and drinks. Definitely coming back with a group to split drinks and brunch. Highly recommend.

I been dying to come for the past year. The food did not disappoint! Everything we had was good; chicharron de Pollo and friend snapper were well seasoned, tostones were a decent size not the skimpy type. The place was a bit small and narrow inside. Also, the server was very dry.

Bustling spot with dinerlike vibe turning out generous potions of Dominican fare, including seafood.
The food here is decent but it depends what you order. The empanadas were on the smaller side and were cold. The beef one was good but the chicken one was dry. The chicken stew was good and they gave me a lot of it. The portion sizes and the way the food is cooked always varies and it’s never the same which is disappointing. For two empanadas and a chicken stew platter with rice and beans, it came out to $26, which I thought was a little expensive.

Latino-Chinese restaurant with a colorful dining room & enclosed sidewalk seating.
Delicious! A colleague told me you was the best place near work. I'm only here for a couple days and this place was fantastic. Casual finest of the fine casual dining if that makes sense. I had the sea bass. Huge fish portions with adequate side of maduros. The flan was delicious and the perfect single size serving at a very reasonable price. Fantastic meal overall.

Right off the bat, I was really impressed with the street steak empanadas. The empanada shell was flaky - reminiscent of a crossaint - and the flavor of the filling on its own was quite good! A few of the beef chunks at times was a little tough for my preference but I'm pretty sensitive to texture. Still it was still an easy 8/10 kind of empanada The beef empanada was really good as well. There was an interesting aftertaste that I couldn't really put a finger on, but the meat texture was crumbl

Fried chicken was good, a little bit on the salty side, and not too greasy. The cole slaw was also good. Nice clean place. Would definitely come back when I'm in the neighborhood. You'll need to buzz to get into the restaurant, which is okay for security.

Wow I’m happy I picked this place: it was either here or pops. Our server Scarlett was so sweet she checked on us every single time I was ready to need help. She was helpful with helping me pick a food item because I wasn’t sure what to get . Me and gfs Came for happy hour and got guac and tacos and it was so yummy too. I’m happy I picked this place and will be to come back . Lots of seating . And kinda busy for a Thursday night but it didn’t affect service at all.

The food was pretty good, except for the price. For how much the sopes and tacos were, it was very small. The steak was presented nice but they gave 2 squeezes of mashed potatoes and tasted of bacon grease, we told 2 different servers and nothing was done. The sopes were 6/10, steak tacos 7/10. Lobster was ok. The watermelon margarita was on the money, 10/10. Our waiter was not welcoming at all, very apathetic, most of the service was like this, some were standing around. Visited Sugar Restaurant around 3PM and the place looked really nice. It also wasn’t crowded at that time which made it comfortable. The music selection was definitely a vibe with good R&B and Hip-Hop playing throughout the restaurant. The service wasn’t terrible but could’ve been better. The staff didn’t really check on us much to see if we needed anything. Cozy spot with patio dining featuring farm-to-table, seasonal cuisine with global influences.
I was excited to try the dishes as the photos in the menu looked spectacular. The french fries came first and it had the perfect kick of spice but lacked salt. The rest of the dishes were served together as requested. The broccoli rabe I did actually very much like. I tried the two different types of sausages and they were decent. (Disclaimer: Only one person was served the correct type of knife to slice the meat) All throughout the meal we used a butter knife to cut all the meats in the photo.

I’ve had Puerto Rican food before, but I haven’t had any from Spanish Harlem. It’s often compared to Dominican food but there are some similarities and differences in their food. Nubeluz completely blew me away! If you are looking for a spot with views for days, this is it. The panoramic backdrop of the New York City skyline is absolutely breathtaking and worth the visit alone. And we came while the sun was still out. I can only imagine what it is like during the evening. But it’s not just a visual experience—the cocktails were fantastic. Every drink was beautifully crafted, unique, and incredibly delicious. A must try when visiting NYC. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Carlos and Manny are the best! We had such a wonderful time here with our friends. All of the food was ordered by our friend, and honestly, everything was great—we loved every dish we tried. What really stood out for us as Asians was the paella; we enjoyed it very much. The location is quite convenient to get to. We booked an Uber and had no trouble arriving. The ambience is cozy and on the darker side, and even though the place was pretty jam-packed at the time, it still had just the right amount of fun and lively energy.

Bazar Tapas NYC delivered one of those meals where every dish and every cocktail felt carefully crafted. The watermelon salad was light and refreshing, the patatas bravas were perfectly crisp, and the gambas al ajillo were packed with flavor. The food was a mixed bag. The tacos were too salty and nothing to call home about; the tortillas were also not particularly flavorful. The tuna ceviche was really good. The shrimp special was good, but not the sauce than the shrimps themselves, which were missing a crisp. A couple of times different staff tried to take away a plate with food. I was craving some solid, local empanadas—especially classic cheese and meat options—and Empanada City kept showing up as a top pick on UberEats. I checked Google reviews too, and they were really strong, which gave me confidence to try it. I ordered a cheese, BBQ chicken, ground beef, and sweet sausage (cooked with onions and peppers) empanada. Everything arrived fresh, warm, and generously filled (like, I was surprised lmao). Lulo was outstanding! I came on a coworker’s recommendation and was greeted warmly by the owner, who even shared stories about his family in my field. I had the chicken cutlet with rice and beans—juicy, flavorful, and so hefty I couldn’t finish it. The bean juice mixed with the rice was amazing, even for someone who usually avoids beans. Love love love this spot for some delicious Colombian food - reminds me of my favorite spot back home in Florida. Loved the Caldo de Costilla, the broth was rich and the meat fell right off the bone! The rice here is also my favorite - so insanely flavorful and goes with anything and everything. Also a huge fan of the carne empanada & bandeja paisa - the chicharron is crispy and flavorful & steak is cooked alright. It is on the pricier side, but good quality food!

Not having enough option for true Spanish tapas in the city, we were stoked to give El Born a try... we ordered quite a few selections and sadly, most fell bit short on the flavor scale. Most dishes were lacking just abit of salt, the bread with tomato was on the soggy side and was missing garlic. The Jamon Iberico was on the light side and didnt have that deep rich flavor youd expect from true Iberico. The stars of the meal were the Seafood Paella, the Croquetas, the oxtail and the pork rib.
