This intimate, modest neighborhood eatery with a bar supplies thin-crust pizzas & housemade pasta.
This whole experience was perfection. It felt like an intimate experience, with great service and great food. All staff was so attentive and attractive (added bonus). They are experts at customer service and apparently body language because before I could even say anything, they’d ask if I needed anything. They even re-lit our candle without asking. As you know, candles are very important to the atmosphere and vibe. We were able to make a reservation about an hour prior. My 2 friends and I share

Live bebop, rhythm & blues, Dixieland jazz & more are presented at this circa-1937 tavern.
I’ve been coming to Arthur’s Tavern for 18+ years, and it’s still one of my favorite spots in the city. The space has a modern feel (post Covid reno) while still keeping the classic charm that makes it so special. There’s a $15 minimum per person, but it’s absolutely worth it when you consider the quality of the live music. There are always fantastic bands playing and the atmosphere is unbeatable. The service is impressively friendly too, especially given how busy they tend to be most nights.

Low-lit place with outdoor terrace & downstairs bar serving French classics and sustainable wines.
This French restaurant is a great choice for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The truffle croquettes were my favorite dish, and I highly recommend trying them. The beet chips and kale salad were surprisingly tasty as well. However, the restaurant can get quite busy, which can be a bit of a downside. We had an 8:45 pm reservation, but it ended up being 9:15 pm because of the slow service. The manager was kind enough to send us complimentary food, which saved the night. I didn’t en

Omelets, burgers & other simple American eats fuel this utilitarian, cash-only diner.
As tourists visiting Manhattan, we accidentally stopped here to eat at this location. We discovered that this restaurant was the setting for The City Spoon restaurant in the show, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel! So, there is a tiny element of awe there :) The restaurant itself was a decent place to eat. Our choice of food perhaps wasn't the best - we ended up eating over-cooked spaghetti and some bland food. Maybe there are better options. Service was excellent and quick - no complaints there.

Staff hygiene fell short: soiled clothing, no hair covering, or unkempt nails.

This homey American eatery is notable for its oyster bar, creative Caesar salads & Bloody Marys.
I LOVED this spot. Raw bar was 12/10. Lobster roll ROCKED. Crab dip was fantastic. Such fresh, fantastic seafood. The atmosphere is great. Very warm & homey. Great for a group of 2-3 dinner. It’s decent for sharing. They have some platters which help!! Pacific AND Atlantic oysters. Smoked mussels were a standout. The lobster roll was outstanding. I loved the oysters. Crab dip was nice & spicy, I might opt for more raw fish next time since they absolutely CRUSHED the raw fish bar Loveeeeee th

Among my top 5 in the city. This place is my type of restaurant, small, not too noise, awesome food, dedicated staff and great atmosphere. I came with my partner for a small dinner, nothing special but we like to go out for this unplanned dates. We will definitely return for the planned ones. The Vitello Tonatto was the best I’ve had up here, and then both the tagliatelle and the agnolotti were superb. Same level I’ve had in Italy or double the price restaurants in the city. Overall, great p

Recommendations below in order. In general, stick with the mezzes. Recommended: Artichoke, cauliflower Good: Skirt Steak, hummus, desserts Wouldn't recommend: Pappardelle, tahdig, soup dumplings I went to this pretty tasty and dimly lit Levant/Israeli spot a while back with a group. The service was friendly and gave good recommendations to those who wanted them, knowing the menu well as well as allergens. In general, I would recommend the mezze/small plates much more than the entrees. To drink,

Naples-influenced fare & wines are served in a stylish, white-tiled room with light-wood furniture.
The atmosphere is really nice, service was attentive, and the cocktails were very well done. The only downside for us was the carbonara. It had shallots or diced onion in it, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. That caught us off guard since it’s not typical for this dish. Not saying it can’t be done that way, but it would have been helpful to know in advance as we likely would have ordered something else. Aside from that, everything else about the evening was enjoyable.

My daughter, who’s an NYU student, has become completely obsessed with this place, so she treated me to my first Yemeni tea experience. The location was buzzing- pretty busy, all seats taken. The space is bright and welcoming with warm wood furnishings. We ordered the tea and the honeycomb-style bread stuffed with cheese, and everything paired together perfectly. The tea was creamy with a slight cinnamon kick, and the bread was light, crispy, and flaky. Such a cozy experience overall. I really

This was a great place for Georgian food in the West Village! A friend had been here before, and she suggested that we go together, and we had a great meal together. Between the two of us, we ended up sharing four dishes (no entrees), which was more than enough food for us so we actually got to take leftovers home. We got: - Georgian Garden Spreads (4/5) wish this came with more bread, but loved the mushroom and pumpkin spreads - Georgian Salad (4/5) hit the spot! - Round Adjaruli Khachipuri (

Middle Eastern specialties (like kibbeh, kubeh and meze) are served in a chic, contemporary setting.
Came for restaurant week and it was so nice seeing the portion sizes didn’t change and a good variety on the menu. I started with the saffron shrimp, had the lamb shank for my main and ended it with the warm brownie for dessert. I also tried their torshitini cocktail which was on the savory side but very delicious. Saffron shrimp was great and I loved the bread to help finish up the sauce. My lamb shank fell off the bone which is always a positive. While I did like it I didn’t feel it stood out

Low-key eatery with patio tables offering Neapolitan-style pizza, plus vegan & gluten-free options.
One of my favorite Napoli pizza in the New York City. It is very light and fresh. The crust is so thin that it melt in your mouth. The location is also amazing, right in front of Whitney museum and it is not casual and quick stop by. Meatpacking area is also one of my favorite area to hang out. I have been here almost once weekly.

Coffee, sandwiches & baked goods served in a popular, modern chain cafe.
Management: Please pay to retain your employees. The coffee, location, and staff have been great over the years. But whoever owns the place isn’t able to retain their employees. The employee turnover is crazy high (I’ve been coming for 5 years because it’s near my apartment). Today was the best example of this. I just ordered coffee at 10:15am on a Saturday (May 2026), and 10 minutes later got kicked out because they were shutting the whole store down because of coverage issues. At 10:25am o

This spot was such a great find. The service was genuinely top tier friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. You can tell they really care about their customers. The pizza was incredible perfectly thin, crispy, and packed with flavor in every bite. And the alcohol? Let’s just say those drinks definitely pack a punch in the best way. Everything came together for a really memorable meal. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Came here for girls dinner. Love the ambiance of this place! Good for casual drinks and some food. While the ambiance was amazing inside, I wasn’t wowed with the food. I felt like it was very mid. I definitely have had better food elsewhere. Not really sure if it was what I ordered but we got the NY strip and it was flavorful but not the best I ever had and it costed $65. The caesar salad was also just ok nothing really special. The tuna crudo was simple and good but it wasn’t anything different

The food was good but nothing to call home about. What I liked about it is that it was generally light and healthy. The portions were on the small side and it's not cheap, but we were able to stay at the table without being rushed. The waitress was amazing, shared tons of information about the food, was funny and got me a custom mocktail. Have been in NYC for almost 2 decades, and have tried more Italian dishes than I care to admit - this is hands down THE BEST American Italian style restaurant. Great vibes and ambience—definitely a place you go for the setting and overall experience. The service was also excellent: attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout. That said, the food doesn’t live up to the price point. It’s not bad, but it’s far from exceptional. The meat platter we ordered was overly fatty (almost half fat), which felt excessive for the price. The cheesecake was good, but not something that should stand out as a signature dessert at this level. The banana dessert wa

Probably the best middle eastern food we have eaten so far. It was Christmas night and we were so tired after driving forever to see Rockefeller na sit being so busy. I came here for dinner around 8:20pm on a seasonably cold but dry Thursday evening in late February. The bar area of the restaurant was quite lively and crowded; however, there appeared to be available tables in the dining area of the restaurant. I have been to this restaurant several times over the past 10 years for a meal and/or

The sweet potato ice cream, sticky rice stuffed chicken wings, and the beef tongue were great and creative. However the entree’s flavor profile and balance was confusing a bit off. The sea bass curry dish didn’t quite work as well. The grilled chicken dish was well-cooked but didn’t really impress. This is our favorite weekend lunch/brunch restaurant in the Village. Their menu has a good mix of light sandwiches with heavier dishes if we are really hungry. Their platter of salumi and formaggi (sliced meats and cheeses) is very good and comes in two sizes – the larger has delicious pate. I particularly like the smoked salmon crostini and my wife usually goes for the one of the sandwiches, notably the prosciutto, tomato, mozzarella, and basil. Tasty spot for pizza and and/or drinks located in the heart of the West Village. It does get crowded, particularly on weekends, so making a reservation in advance is the way to go. Had a business dinner here with colleagues on a Monday night. It was a course fixed by our leadership, so while choices were limited, there were some good options. With a party of 16, there were times when the staff seemed overwhelmed. The appetizer (I chose the burrata) was excellent. The main (blackened bass) was saved by the excellent roasted mushroom.
