A local, cozy Italian restaurant that’s been around for some time. It’s a hit-or-miss kind of place though. I’ve had very different experiences over the years. The last time I visited was for the lunch prix fixe and sat at the bar. The portions are good size and the food was pretty bland. The bartender was pretty friendly and laid back. Stopped by the Van Leeuwen Ice Cream location in the West Village and it was really good. The ice cream was super creamy and flavorful. There is no restaurant in NYC that looks like this. When we spoke with owner Svetlana, she said this was her dream and she wanted to create a space for people to have fun for two hours. A really great tea house with desserts! They used to have a lot of tea options but it looks like now it's limited. My favorite thing from the recent visit was the black sesame creme brulee!
