Okay so today, Saturday, May 2nd I ran the 10k course by the Bronx Community College. I planned with my girlfriend to come here after the race. We arrived a bit before 1PM. There were only 2 tables seated so it wasn’t full yet. This was our 1st time here so we didn’t know that this place fills up quickly. So we were lucky to be seated right away at a 2 top by the window. We had no clue what to order, so many options and after a waitress came by we asked for more time. A younger waiter came and w

I had such a wonderful experience at Pollo a la Brasa Mario. From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully cared for. The food was absolutely delicious, authentic Colombian flavors, cooked perfectly, and incredibly satisfying. You can really tell this is a Colombian-owned restaurant that takes pride in what they serve. The pricing was also very reasonable, which made the experience even better. This place was round the corner from my hotel. Its such a gem! It feels like its a place that locals know, not many tourists. Its definitely a family run place and has a great vibe there. The first time I went, I had the Cuban sandwich. My first time trying one and it didnt disappoint! The pork was so tasty and the bread crisped to perfection. Before I left new York I decided to go back to try the chicken. It was the best meal I have had! So juicy and fall off the bone. I will dream of that meal

This is a hidden gem in the midst of all the chaos of the city. You walk through the door into a peaceful, beautiful atmosphere. The menu has a ton of options for everyone. The beef parmigiana was a tender steak, that is breaded and cuts so easily because of how tender it is. The chicken estroganoff was very tender and flavorful. Our server, Joao, recommended pairing it with mash potatoes and he was so right!! They have an amazing hot sauce that is made by one of the servers and we took a bott

Spent almost 30 minutes researching the best Peruvian spot around and kept seeing this place recommended all over Reddit, really glad I came. The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the food absolutely lived up to the hype. I ordered the Lomo Saltado and it was amazing. A quaint little Cuban spot right on Fulton Street and close to Seaport, with good lunch deals and prices. There’s also plenty of seating inside if you wanted to eat in. We got the pernil with rice and plantains combo, and it was a decent amount for us to split. I would’ve liked more green sauce personally, but the meat was flavorful enough without it too. My family and I have been big supporters of Roy since they were a tiny chicken spot on the corner. Recently they raised prices and started skimping out on the food. We ordered 2 pepper steak combos tonight and the amount of steak compared to what they used to give us is abysmal. Spending $74 on two combos should at least have enough steak to cover us all instead we got skimped on the order. Great spot for South American food with good service and a clean dining area. The chicharrón, while flavorful, wasn’t as crispy as expected. it ended up being mostly soft, fatty pieces. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. Several dishes lacked flavor especially the beans (no flavor at all), and the chicken in particular tasted overcooked and burnt. Service was also inconsistent, as a few items we requested were forgotten throughout the meal. This is the 2nd time I'm leaving a review about this place. Last time was 5 years ago, about a similar subject. The "bartender" is quite smart. When the managers are nowhere near the bar she doesn't acknowledge guests seeking to order. She doesn't look at people, she doesn't even say "hi". It happened to me during France-Paraguay and to a man trying to order too. He left annoyed after being unable to get any sort of hospitality from her. Modern Latin fare served with signature cocktails in funky quarters.
The food here is truly authentic! Feels like I’m at my mom’s house. The service was slow but completely understandable due to the extremely high traffic since the Puerto Rican day parade was happening along with the World Cup. The atmosphere is up beat lively and great Hispanic music. The servers are great considering the heavy traffic. I would definitely recommend.

Dominican eats & fruit-flavored cocktails in a colorful space with a tropical ceiling mural.
The Mompataio was really good, the flavors all came together really well and helped give moisture to the Fried Pork Chops. The Fatty parts of the Pork were very tasty as well. My spouse enjoyed her meal as well, the chicken was tender and worked with the caramelized onions with the bell peppers giving it some crunch. Overall, the textures here were good with the entrees, and I would definitely have the Mompataio again. Overall, it’s a casual dining experience, and kind of gives NYC Diner feel bu
