As someone who enjoys trying lunch specials around the city, my mom and I stopped by while she was visiting and craving Chinese food. Arrived for nephews birthday dinner, and upon entering, it looked a bit dated for the interior. The food that was ordered came out in a timely fashion. Ordering was simple, made ahead of time and each dish comes out in order. The food was hit or miss. Most of the dishes were average. The lobster dish was a bit disappointing, I feel like Mayo and lobster doesn’t go well together . The king crab was a bit over cooked. Flesh was fused to the shell.

Went for their winter restaurant week (muni only available on Friday for lunch). It is definitely great value , portion to price wise. The phyllo was ok but my main sea bass was well cooked, skin is crispy , capers accompanied well with the taste, sauce is tangy and lovely on top. Vibe is chilled, decoration is elegant, low noise.

The workers were so nice when I went earlier today. We had a blast celebrating my partner's 29th birthday with laser tag at Area53. Jose made our experience especially top tier—calling me to make sure my questions were answered before our reservation, explaining the rules to our group, making sure we always had water, and curating what kind of game we would play based on our preferences. There is espresso 77 around the corner which has unique drinks, the new coffee shop from Yemen down the block, the Colombian Over the Moon and the Asian Artisan a few blocks away. The interior of The Chai Spot is lovely and offers a refuge for customers, especially during this bitter cold! My friend and I bought a Coconut Rose to share on a Saturday morning, around 11 am. The drink was slightly sweet and rich. There were not many people inside when we got there. We grabbed a cushion inside and relaxed while escaping from the cold outside. The Chai Spot is a nice third space to hang with friends.

The beef birria tacos were class, rich, tender, and packed with flavour, easily the highlight. Portions were solid and everything tasted fresh. The server was really helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. Seating is quite limited, so it's more of a quick bite or takeaway spot, but the food more than makes up for it. Immediately upon receiving it, I noticed the roti was soggy and the potatoes had an unusual odor. Eric was the best server! He listened to our questions, was patient, kind and efficient. I asked him for the cod dumplings and then he asked if I wanted it steamed or pan fried. Hands down the best and most unique bagels we've had. We ordered the shtetl, super heebster, pastrami russ, and daughter's delight. They were all exceptional! In california it's hard finding bagels that feature fish other than salmon. For drinks we ordered a cold brew and an egg cream. I’m not sure how this place has such a high rating. Being the Chicken Sandwich Connoisseur I tried out two of their sandwiches. Nothing unique about either. Pretty standard compared to the competition. Slightly better than Chick-fil-A but twice the cost. I give them a 3 as it’s an average sandwich.
