I came here with my church sisters, and we had a really great experience overall. This place is truly a hidden gem. The Korean-style pho has a rich, deep flavor, and I really appreciate that they don’t use MSG. You can tell the taste is clean and natural rather than artificial, and it feels light and comforting even after finishing the meal. You definitely have to try the fire-grilled brisket pho. The smoky flavor on the beef is incredible and pairs perfectly with the broth. It was one of those

Came across this place as I was searching for Asian cuisine. Nice spot in the corner to sit down and enjoy the weather. They have outdoor seating as well on the street. I ordered the Chicken Karaage to start, which was honestly okay. I wouldn’t get it again because some of the chicken pieces tasted a little off. And the outside wasn’t as crispy as I expected. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry with rice as my main & that was pretty solid. The katsu was cooked well & the curry had a nice flavor to

Creative sushi with an acclaimed chef's choice omakase menu in an airy Upper East Side locale.
I HIGHLY recommend going to Sushi of Gari on a date night. They have a few locations, we went to the UES one since that’s the one i went to back in the day with an ex of mine and I’ve wanted to go back since then. It’s all classy and crisp looking now, they renovated during Covid. I’m a little sad, i loved the rustic, out of the way, hole-in-the-wall feel it had before but that doesn’t matter - the vibe is still good and the food is AMAZING. They have a set 12-piece omakaze but, like before, y

We were an early reservation, so we didnt get to partake in what looks like a very likely great vibe. We eat out more for the food anyway, vibes are secondary. That being said, we clearly over ordered, but it gave a great overview of what's coming out of the kitchen. OK, lets get into it.... we had the Soft Crab roll. Its a deep fried roll with a crab salad on top. I liked it a lot, crispy, crunchy, and creamy and salty (in a good way). We had the Wagyu roll, which was ok. We felt the b

I’d also like to mention that everything here is delicious and the portions are very generous. My daughter and I ordered a sushi burger, shared it, and were already full. We also got a sushi set but couldn’t finish it, so we took the rest to go. We were lucky to catch a special where you buy one cocktail and get another one free. The service was fast, and we didn’t have to wait long.

Basic nook crafting chewy Malaysian-style beef, pork & chicken jerky in varied spice levels.
This might be the most underrated snack in Chinatown. They make Malaysian Chinese-style jerky at Malaysia Beef Jerky, and it’s not your typical jerky - it’s soft, tender, smoky, and sweet. It’s closer to smoky barbecue candy than the dry, leathery jerky most people are used to. They have pork, beef, and chicken options (I like the pork one the most). The flavors are bold but balanced, not too salty and not too dry. Everything is grilled fresh right in front of you, so you get it warm with a slig

Was craving Malaysian food and found this spot in Eastern queens, as we live pretty far east on Long Island and didn’t want to drive into manhattan. What we were truly crazy was their roti canai. It was exactly what we were craving and loved it. We also ordered beef satay, and that meat was cooked over a charcoal grill and was super juicy and seasoned and tasty. The satay sauce was an added bonus, and normally I’m dipping my meat like crazy into the sauce but this beef I just wanted to savor. Fo

The food is not “not bad” but taste good. I still have to complain about the services. I went to the store around 435. They addressed that they will close at 5pm. I said I know, I saw it on Google map. I ordered 2 sandwich and easy to go. But they gave me attitude, feel like they don’t want my business. We visited as a group of three and ordered several dishes to share every single one was delicious. The tandoor in particular was exceptional, perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. The other dishes were equally impressive and didn’t disappoint. On top of the amazing food, the owners are the sweetest people. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and put love into everything they serve. This place is a true hidden gem. If you’re looking for excellent, authentic Uyghur food in NYC,

I'm sorry, but it tastes really, really bad. This is the worst drink I have ever had in my life. How can a coffee be so sour and bitter? And the boba isn't made from tapioca. What an establishment. This woman is slinging some greattt treats completely on her own. The line moves slow, and she won’t let you make any customizations. Growing up around Hong Kong culture, this place hit me in a way I didn’t expect. The cocktails were amazing, but what stayed with me most was how thoughtful everything felt. There’s a real identity to the place. You can feel the Hong Kong influence throughout, but it never comes across as forced or overly nostalgic. It feels authentic while still being completely its own thing, and that balance is hard to get right. I also really liked the idea of “collecting stories.” At first it sounds poeti

We visited Nangma Restaurant & Bar, a Tibetan restaurant that delivers bold, warming flavors rooted in Himalayan food traditions. We started with a mango lassi, served ice-cold in a tall stacked glass that kept it chilled throughout the meal. Made with yogurt, mango pulp, and milk, it was thick, creamy, and gently sweet more refreshing than sugary. While lassi isn’t traditionally Tibetan, it’s common across the Himalayan region today and works perfectly to balance the spice forward dishes that

Summer Rolls ($16) with a substitution of shrimp for avocado and Cari Noodles ($25). The two dishes were both tasty while simultaneously feeling like they nourished the body with wholesome ingredients. Had a wonderful time at Spicy Nepal today. The cozy atmosphere and warm service made it feel instantly welcoming. The biryani was rich and comforting, and the crispy, saucy chicken had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. I tried the barista‘s recommendation the maple syrup latte with oat milk and had the banana cream cake that I sat in one of the nearby tables with beautiful lighting coming in. My first time eating here and it easily became one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood! The Mekong Salad was so tasty with the crunchy fried tofu, pickled onions, and ginger dressing. Loved the crispy duck as well as the Lechon Kare Kare (seasonal I think?). The lechon was so satisfyingly crunchy and the peanut sauce was delicious over it. The staff was so incredibly sweet and the atmosphere is great as well. As a bonus, I loved the 90s-00s rnb/rap playlist they had playing.

There are also not that many seats so don’t expect them to be able to accommodate a large (4+) party easily. I got the duo chicken rice ($20) and coffee ribs ($14). Thanks to the security for failing to provide professionalism especially to people who spend the money on bottle service. I’ve been to better places and were treated with great excellence.
