This bar/rooftop has an incredible view of the city from the Freedom Tower to most of lower Manhattan. As soon as I walked in, i got such a warm greeting and the service was insanely quick. The waiters are all attentive to whether you have trash around you or dishes needed to be picked up. Theres always a salad on the house and the dressing for the salad is really really good! I got to see the owner of the store (and she also owns quite a few other stores in chinatown) and she was so nice and kind towards all the customers and even had conversations with her regulars that she remembers. Michaeli Bakery on Division St. in New York is one of my favorite spots to visit whenever I’m in the city coming from Florida! They have the most amazing rugelach, delicious and flaky croissants, and incredible pastries. Their challah bread is the best I’ve ever had; soft, fresh, and full of flavor. The quality of everything they bake is superb, and you can really taste the love they put into it. It’s also super close to my family’s house, so it’s always a must stop for me. Totally recommended!

Stopped into ViVi Bubble Tea for some boba and ended up trying their Blue Galaxy Refresher and popcorn chicken. The Blue Galaxy Refresher was really refreshing and had a frozen lemonade flavor that was perfect on a warm day. The Salt & Pepper Popcorn Chicken was also really good—crispy, flavorful, and a great snack to go with the drink. Glad I stopped in and would definitely come back to try more of their menu!

Being a Vietnamese who lives in a city where Vietnamese food is not great, I make it a point to seek Vietnamese restaurants on my travel. I am exceedingly pleased to find this joint in New York and visited twice in two days. Comfortable space, authentic taste, and friendly staff. Hủ tiếu Nam Vang and bánh canh cua are both excellent with full toppings. Hủ tiếu comes with thin slices of pork, liver and heart, two giant shrimps, and a quail egg, sprinkled with ground pork and chives. Bánh canh cua

I usually make a point of visiting Artbean whenever I’m in that part of Chinatown. Every other time I’ve gotten my usual iced americano, and on a couple occasions, a bag of beans. Never had anything short of a perfect experience on those occasions. Wouldn’t say my most recent experience was BAD, but one thing kind of bothered me. I got the sesame latte, which tasted pretty good. However, I was really thrown off by the fact that they used pre made concentrate of some kind. That isn’t something I

Chic, candlelit basement eatery serving pastas & Venetian small plates alongside Italian wines.
Romantic, but lacking food quality for the price. The food is not bad, it’s just a little expensive for what it is. The happy hour M-F 4-6:30 is a good deal. The waitstaff is ok. The real win here is the vibe, it’s romantic. It’s too bad the food isn’t either cheap enough to make it worth it, or fancy enough to explain the prices.

If you’re walking through Chinatown and need that perfect refresh, this spot hits every time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gong Cha on Mott Street is hands down one of the best places in NYC to grab authentic bubble tea. Everything tastes incredibly fresh — you can tell the tea is brewed right and the boba has that perfect soft, chewy texture (never hard or mushy). We stopped here after seeing it on social media and decided to check it out for ourselves. The place itself was quite busy, which already suggested it’s popular. We tried the cheese tarts, and while they were nicely presented and had a good texture — creamy filling with a soft, slightly crisp base — they didn’t quite stand out for us. They were enjoyable enough as a treat, but overall felt fairly average compared to similar desserts we’ve had elsewhere. It wasn’t disappointing, just a bit overhy

I’m really disappointed! I usually go to banh mi Saigon on Grand street but decided to give this place a try. Saw a few videos on Instagram of people saying their bread is freshly baked, light and crispy so I wanted to see if fresher bread was noticeably better. I ordered two of their #1 sandwiches which is their banh mi special but for “tomorrow” so they didn’t add the pickled veggies in. They only gave me ONE bag of pickled vegetables for two sandwiches. CHEAP EATS 🤠 A shabby joint that serves up decent dumplings for a fraction of the normal price. The reviews weren’t bad so I gave it a try. I passed by many times without a thought. The veggie fried dumplings were okay. So were the beef pancakes, I ate 2. The chives pancake was undercooked and the dough was still a bit raw. Nowadays, the options for Dominican food/adjacent cuisines in lower Manhattan aren’t as abundant as they used to be. Because of that, it’s really nice to have this place around. The lunch special was a great deal at $12, and the carne guisada was incredibly tender. Though I do wish I got a bit more of the stew and less of the [spanish] rice, which itself was still really good. The tostones were freshly made, as evidenced by the additional five minute wait time. This was a very disappointing rice roll since the requested toppings were not cooked incorporated. We got an order of the roast pork and it was small cubes poured on top of the rice rolls. The rice rolls themselves were not silky, thicker than I had wanted. The portion of the meat to the small rice rolls was not worth $8. Even with the condiments offered on the table (soy sauce, hoisin, peanut sauce), it was still disappointing to eat. On the chalk board was advertised the #1 sponge cake for $1.

5 star for atmosphere, location is great feels very European and casual with bar seats on the street but sadly we got pretty screwed over by the waitress. I recommend the egg fried rice and the crab noodles—the fried rice was the favorite at our table and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Super fluffy, fresh, and packed with flavor. The crab noodles were rich and buttery, coated in a delicious sauce that’s savory with a touch of sweetness—it almost eats like an Italian pasta rather than traditional Chinese noodles.
