5-Star Family Brunch at Sylvia's on a Chilly Saturday! We took the family to Sylvia's for brunch on a cold Saturday, and it was the perfect cozy spot to warm up with some classic soul food. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and full of that iconic Harlem vibe—felt like stepping into a piece of history. I went with the fried chicken paired with collard greens, mac and cheese and it hit the spot: the chicken was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, and those collards were tender and seasoned just righ

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que started in 1988 as a biker bar in Syracuse and somehow became one of the best barbecue destinations in New York City, which is not a city where BBQ is usually the first thing you think of. The Harlem location sits under the Riverside Drive Viaduct and has this post-industrial, lived-in feeling to it, brick walls, wood, big screens, and the kind of noise level that means everyone else is also having a good time. Getting there requires a subway trip north, but the people making

We were seated right away, and the customer service was good throughout our visit. The shrimp fried rice and cheese corn were both good, but neither really stood out. The quality of the meat was outstanding—it was fresh, tender, and very easy to cook. Personally, I prefer my meat to be marinated, well-seasoned, and spicy. I understand this restaurant’s approach is to let the natural flavor of the meat shine, and if that’s what you’re looking for, they do an excellent job. However, for my taste,

We were greeted, seated promptly and had cornbread and drinks within a few minutes of being seated. After we ordered, our food was prepared fresh and was on the table fast. This was literally the quickest I've ever had soul food prepared. Everything was delicious, especially the fried wings, jerk chicken and rice and peas. Excellent service all around and we can't wait to come back! The restrooms were even clean.

Absolutely amazing local bar in such a touristy area. Texas based food and drinks. Service is just all the way good. Friday night is music night with good old country music!! For food, I recommend chicken wing for starter and burger is a good try. Half chicken is a bit dry but still tasty with the bbq source. Bartenders and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Gonna come here more often to try out rest of the food!!

The family and I decided to have lunch at Dallas BBQ today. To my surprise, it was a pleasant experience; the restaurant was clean, and everything was orderly. The wait for a table was brief. The waiter approached the table with utmost professionalism, which is commendable. The food was served promptly and at an appropriate temperature. I foresee myself returning in the future.

WHAT DO THEY DO TO THIS NACHO CHEESE DIP TO MAKE IT SO PERFECT?! It’s perfect. I’d never order this of my own will but my friend ordered it and what a great decision that was. The cornbread is great. All the meat is great. A 1/2 lb of meat per person is definitely enough, especially if you get 1-2 sides. This isn’t the cheapest spot. 2 sides and 2 1/2 lbs of meat was $75 (fed 2 people and was a lot of food). I LOVE that they have Stiegl! And they have special really great mugs for the radlers

We’ve been going to Pies ‘n’ Thighs for a while and we always enjoy the food! We recommend the chicken and waffles, chicken sandwich, tenders box, French fries, and mac and cheese. The chicken is very tender and crispy, which is impressive. We especially enjoyed their pastries, specifically their toffee pecan donut and cinnamon roll. So soft and perfect for sharing because of how big they are! Overall, this is a great place for breakfast and brunch:)

I was craving bbq and have heard great things about Mighty Quinn’s and had never been. Super cute quick service spot with great music and a super friendly staff. The food was amazinnnnnnngggggg. I did a Brisket topped loaded baked potato that was perfection. The sauce on the brisket is a perfect blend of savory sweet and smokey. I also got a two meat sampler. Came at 11am - 90% of the food ready to go, a few empty sections. So fresh! As a solo traveller, I loved being able to try soul food but just a little of everything - rather than a huge meal or 5 chicken pieces at once. Loved being able to have fresh fruit food. Delightful service, clean, affordable (about $10/lb) and importantly - everything was yum!

Ambiance (5/5): There’s 3 parts to the huge establishment: front dining tables near the ordering area, then another dining area that is enclosed but open, and finally an outdoor area. It is a Chiefs bar so can get rowdy during game days. Service (N/A): Order at the front and they will call you when your order is ready. Food: This is the best BBQ that I’ve had in NYC so far! The burnt ends were my favorite. The brisket was so juicy and flavorful. The spare ribs were meh but still good by comparis

When I tell you I will be thinking of this fried chicken in my dreams! Wanted soul food on a whim and this place popped up and now I can’t get enough!!! This place is absolutely delicious and the staff are so welcoming and friendly!! Seasoned well, cooked perfectly, cornbread crispy on the top doughy on the inside, collards cooked to perfection. We went for pizza night last night and it was delicious! We got to make our own pizzas, got a small app and salad and unlimited sangria beer or wine for $50 it was a great deal! We went as a group of 4 but there were larger groups as well. It was so much fun! The chef would come out and help us and we got all the ingredients in front of us. We had so much fun. The vibe was also amazing! Would definitely want to go back again and the rooftop is really nice too to hangout in.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience at Dallas BBQ in Jamaica, Queens. The service was horrible from start to finish. Our server, Patricio, came once to take the order and basically disappeared for the rest of the night. Drinks were dropped off, then a food runner brought the food, but nobody ever checked on the table again. We had to sit there with no extra napkins, no share plates, and no table touch whatsoever. I had the most amazing time at 1803 celebrating my birthday over brunch. Brad was our server and he was 10/10. Every food he recommended exceeded our expectations and his vibe was so warming. The bottomless drinks tasted so good and they had so many flavors of mimosas you can choose from. They also have a bottomless margarita option. We were also surprised that they had live music which was the cherry on top of the whole experience. I would definitely come back here for brunch!

We got the sampler platter piled high with savory brisket, burnt ends and korean chicken. Everything was delicious and comfortably feeds four adults. Best meal I’ve ever eaten in NY. Been staying in Brooklyn for a week now travelling all the boroughs. Wanted to support black owned business and it so happened to be Juneteenth when we came in. The signature chicken burger was AMAZING and I subbed to sweet potato fries which were so crispy and nice. Even the house lemonades and iced tea hit so hard. Finished with the double chocolate cake and literally ascended. I went home and took a 1 hour nap before hitting the clubs after.

Pretty disappointed in the quality of the food after traveling all the way to Manhattan to try it. I ordered their very popular Chicken Caesar Wrap as well as a side of the Mac & Cheese. The mac & cheese was good but not worth returning back for. The biggest disappointment came from the chicken caesar wrap. After opening the wrap, I could see how poorly assembled it was. The Fried Catfish were really good, chicken wings and roasted chicken were delicious. The ribs were ordered were OK. Am not sure if the potato salad and collard greens have been tailored for NYC market but both were watery and lacked flavor. The corn bread was tasty but had a very crumbly texture. Stopped by Bark Barbecue at Time Out Market in DUMBO for an episode of Jaguar’s Guide TV, and this one was a little mixed for me. The setup is a food hall, so it’s not a traditional sit-down restaurant experience. You order at the counter, grab your food, and find seating in the communal space. I am a huge bbq fan and if u love bbq u will not enjoy the food. Maybe if you only enjoy bbq sauce. The brisket was dry, Mac and cheese left me wanting more flavor, pickles were in between cucumber flavor, the only thing that taste remotely southern was the collard greens.
