We were greeted, seated promptly and had cornbread and drinks within a few minutes of being seated. After we ordered, our food was prepared fresh and was on the table fast. This was literally the quickest I've ever had soul food prepared. Everything was delicious, especially the fried wings, jerk chicken and rice and peas. The family and I decided to have lunch at Dallas BBQ today. To my surprise, it was a pleasant experience; the restaurant was clean, and everything was orderly. The wait for a table was brief. The waiter approached the table with utmost professionalism, which is commendable. The food was served promptly and at an appropriate temperature. I foresee myself returning in the future.

WHAT DO THEY DO TO THIS NACHO CHEESE DIP TO MAKE IT SO PERFECT?! It’s perfect. I’d never order this of my own will but my friend ordered it and what a great decision that was. The cornbread is great. All the meat is great. A 1/2 lb of meat per person is definitely enough, especially if you get 1-2 sides. Went there for lunch today for takeout and there are petty quick I must say! Guy at the counter was very nice and didn’t rush me out of the store. My salad was very fresh and tasty. I think next time I’ll eat there outside. They have outside sitting.

We’ve been going to Pies ‘n’ Thighs for a while and we always enjoy the food! We recommend the chicken and waffles, chicken sandwich, tenders box, French fries, and mac and cheese. The chicken is very tender and crispy, which is impressive. We especially enjoyed their pastries, specifically their toffee pecan donut and cinnamon roll. So soft and perfect for sharing because of how big they are! Overall, this is a great place for breakfast and brunch:)

I was craving bbq and have heard great things about Mighty Quinn’s and had never been. Super cute quick service spot with great music and a super friendly staff. The food was amazinnnnnnngggggg. I did a Brisket topped loaded baked potato that was perfection. The sauce on the brisket is a perfect blend of savory sweet and smokey. I also got a two meat sampler. The ribs fell off the bone and the brisket was so tender and delicious. I cannot recommend more. To top it off they have happy hour draft

Came at 11am - 90% of the food ready to go, a few empty sections. So fresh! As a solo traveller, I loved being able to try soul food but just a little of everything - rather than a huge meal or 5 chicken pieces at once. Loved being able to have fresh fruit food. We went for pizza night last night and it was delicious! We got to make our own pizzas, got a small app and salad and unlimited sangria beer or wine for $50 it was a great deal! We went as a group of 4 but there were larger groups as well. It was so much fun! The chef would come out and help us and we got all the ingredients in front of us. We had so much fun. Absolutely disgusted with my experience at Dallas BBQ in Jamaica, Queens. The service was horrible from start to finish. Our server, Patricio, came once to take the order and basically disappeared for the rest of the night. I had the most amazing time at 1803 celebrating my birthday over brunch. Brad was our server and he was 10/10. Every food he recommended exceeded our expectations and his vibe was so warming. Best meal I’ve ever eaten in NY. Been staying in Brooklyn for a week now travelling all the boroughs. Wanted to support black owned business and it so happened to be Juneteenth when we came in. I rarely write reviews, but today when I walked into the Popeyes on Main Street in Flushing, the security guard- Don, greeted me and even opened the door for me as I was leaving. I was very impressed. As a retail manager, I know how much effort it takes to consistently go above and beyond. I made sure to ask for his name so he could be properly recognized. I gave the food 3 stars only because of the temperature of the meats. I ordered the butcher platter 3 meats burnt ends brisket and pulled pork. Bed Stuy Fish Fry was so good! Easily some of the best soul food I’ve ever had. Everything was full of flavour, cooked perfectly, and tasted fresh. You can really tell they put care into every dish. The servers were lovely, friendly, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Great food, great service, and a fantastic overall experience. Where do I start. Just writing this makes me excited. Taste of Heaven was a google search prospect for Soul Food in the summer of 2024. Since that search I have patronized this establishment 40+ times. The turkey wings are excellent tasty and big enough to make 2 meals. They come in 3 varieties, Jerk, BBQ and Regular. When I called the restaurant, the customer service was lacking warmth and professionalism. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which honestly turned me off from visiting.
