We arrived early on a Saturday morning to get bagels before our flight left. This cute little shop instantly captured our attention just based on the delicious smell of freshly made bagels. We asked for some recommendations from the server and she was very helpful. They have quite a favorite of bagels, but we were also impressed by the variety of cream cheese options. Everything we ordered was delicious. We loved it all.

The food was great! We were skeptical because of some mixed reviews, but we came at 9pm on a Friday night with 3 people, and were seated immediately. Love the atmosphere! The spaghetti carbonara and pasta fagiole were the best I’ve ever had! My wife loved the homemade gnocchi! The buffalo Mazzarella was delicious as almost as good as we had in Italy!

We got #3 matcha ice cream and #6 unicorn ice cream. It was fluffy, creamy and tasted really good. There were red bean filling inside the warmly toasted taiyaki cones. We enjoyed our desserts on a nice day out. Would come back again!

This place was exactly what we were looking for that evening. Food was excellent. Ordered mostly from the specials. Cocktails were well balanced. Steak tartar with shaved truffles was very nice. Slighly larger chunks of meat just FYI incase you don't like that. Servers were very attentive and polite. Different brand of sparkling water, would have loved Sanpellegrino instead. I had an amazing experience here with my boyfriend. We’re so glad we decided to come—everything from the food to the drinks was enjoyable. Stopped by for an early dinner and had the Pasta Fagioli soup, green salad, chicken parmigiana, and a soft drink. Tai Pan Bakery has one of the best egg tarts so far in the city! I love that they have both the flaky and cookie crust egg tarts along with the porteguese egg tart. The flaky crust is perfect, layers flake off as you bite into it and the filling is not too eggy and not too sweet. Their cookie crust egg tart has a satisfying soft snap as you bite into the oval end. I also love that it's oval shaped!! The interior of The Chai Spot is lovely and offers a refuge for customers, especially during this bitter cold! My friend and I bought a Coconut Rose to share on a Saturday morning, around 11 am. The drink was slightly sweet and rich. There were not many people inside when we got there. We grabbed a cushion inside and relaxed while escaping from the cold outside. Was happily surprised that my partner and I were able to get a table here when it was packed. This restaurant is a lot bigger than what meets the eye when you first enter. The seating is pretty intimate. The menu is pretty cool. Ordered the schnitzel and fish kofta. Both were delicious. Was not personally a fan of the hummus but my partner enjoyed it.
