Unpretentious Japanese option offering signature rolls, traditional sushi & familiar cooked dishes.
First and last time getting food from here. Ordered 2 lunch specials via grubhub... very disappointed. The sushi rice was old and the seams were falling apart for the rolls. The only saving grace was that the pieces on the nigiri were good. The ones in the rolls not so much. The misi soup wasn't too salty which I appreciated... but later thinking about it, they probably added more water to extend the life and be cheap seeing how they were using old rice... not to mention the tofu were the smalle

While on my way to one of my favorite chocolate shops I wasn’t sure what to have for lunch on Saturday. So I decided to try Wagamamma. My uncertainty about what to have for lunch didn’t end with which restaurant to choose but also what to eat. I ended up ordering 3 starters. I went with the chili hoisin duck bao which was delicious. Their version of calamari, a chili squid which was interesting but I don’t think I’ll try again. And Tokyo fries which was also interesting but I don’t think I’ll be

Tried Abiko Curry in Koreatown and really enjoyed it. The mushroom pasta was rich, creamy, flavorful, and had a hint of curry, with just the right amount of spice. The shrimp curry was delicious, with tender shrimp and a umami sauce that had wonderful flavor. Portions were generous, service was fast, and I liked being able to choose the spice level. Definitely a good spot if you’re craving Japanese curry in NYC.

Came in while wanting something fast, but not fast food in midtown. Was seated right away. Simple menu that offers anything you might want at a ramen restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience at Akino Restaurant! I had a wonderful dining experience at Akino Sushi. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Every dish was full of flavor, and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The restaurant is quite unassuming, but the food is excellent. The music is a jazz-oriented mix. While I'm not particularly fond of jazz, it really fit the overall vibe of the restaurant. The meat was really good! They had two small dipping sauces: one was a lemony seafood flavor, and the other was soy sauce with a tiny hint of sweetness. The presentation of every dish was amazing! They were like little works of art, and the taste was just as good.

I stopped into Nishida Sho Ten Ramen today and ordered the Tan Tan Ramen, which has become one of my absolute favorites. The broth is incredibly rich, thick, and flavorful, loaded with ground pork, scallions, bok choy, and plenty of chili heat. It is hearty, comforting, and so satisfying that I often find myself asking for extra noodles because I just don’t want the bowl to end. If you enjoy spicy ramen with a deep, savory broth, this is a must-have and I highly recommend it—you won’t regret ord

The mackerel plate and agedashi tofu were PHENOMENAL and portions were perfect for us. Relatively inexpensive too but tasted VERY high quality. The staff was so kind and gave us plenty of time to order and we didn’t feel rushed in the slightest. They even offered to charge my aunts phone. The food came out super fast as well and it was very pleasing to the eye. The atmosphere was beautiful and quiet and the wooden utensils and cups were a great touch. This ramen is amazing and super different because it is fukuoka style ramen. I have never seen food of such poor quality in my life. We left everything untouched. It’s hard to believe that in the 21st century, in the middle of New York City, a place would serve food like this. Where is the quality control? Where are the food standards? Why does this restaurant think people should pay for and eat food of this quality? There is no other word to describe it—absolutely disgusting. This was the worst food I’ve ever had and the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. 🤢🤮

The softest, stretchiest, freshest handmade mochi in the East Village! I tried the strawberry jam mochi from Pavlo a while back and couldn’t get over how soft it was. This time I went back to try more flavors and can confirm: every single one hits!! Each mochi is filled with fresh mousse cream or fruit jam. Unlike traditional japanese mochi, which tends to be denser and chewier, theirs has a pillowy, cloud-like wrapper that’s extra stretchy and light. They just dropped a Lunar New Year box ($3

I'm so happy to have come back and found the food and atmosphere is just as good as I remembered. Agedashi tofu is still one of my faves. I went to this Ramen place and was blown away. The star of the show was definitely the Tonkotsu ramen. The broth was incredibly rich and tangy—exactly what I was craving. The noodles were cooked to absolute perfection. I’d give the ramen itself a 100/10; it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, the sides didn't quite hit the same mark. I ordered the gyoza, and while they were fine, they fell apart a little too easily, which was a bummer. There wasn’t a unique or standout taste to the

I tried the $60 all-you-can-eat buffet for lunch at Yakiniku Futago, and honestly, it's a solid deal if you love meat. My personal favorites were their fried chicken (seriously good) and the marinated kalbi. I also really enjoyed the egg drop soup, but don't expect the Chinese version. This one is made with beef marrow, which felt lighter and almost healthier. And I really liked their housemade ponzu dipping sauce. It complements the meat perfectly. Beautiful interior and such a great atmosphere overall. The hostesses were incredibly sweet and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We did end up moving from our original reserved seats because that side of the restaurant was awfully hot, but the staff handled it kindly and quickly which I appreciated. I came for brunch and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the tuna with crispy rice and the salmon set. The tuna was amazing. Highly recommend. The jalapeño gave it a slight spiciness that complimented the crispy rice and the fish. The salmon was okay. I do wish the mayo was not as overpowering, but it was still pretty good. I cannot think about the food without getting slightly lightheaded from the pure pleasure it gave me. This is a masterclass on how good ingredients prepared exceptionally well can bring pure joy. They can take all my money going forward.

The fastest serving restaurant. Within minutes of ordering they bring the food right out and it’s served nice and hot. Great ramen and appetizers are delicious too. Went twice for dinner and was seated right away. Service is excellent as well!!

The cuts of meat were delicious, soft and tender. We got the assorted meats a la carte, assorted kimchi and soup. My favorite was the diamond cut kalbi, pork with wasabi (dip in lemon sauce) and beef tongue with a yuzu sauce. The staff was awesome, especially our server. She was very welcoming and made my son's birthday extra special with the sparkler cheesecake. Definitely will try the course with the sukiyaki next time.

Love this place! I brought in some heart trays for a party and asked them to fill them up, and they did so beautifully and were extremely accommodating. Everyone said the sushi was high quality and delicious, and you could tell how much care they put into making it. Even the wasabi heart shaped and they very nearly packaged everything and helped me carry it too! They even threw in a bottle of sake on the house and were so kind. I hadn’t found a sushi spot I liked in Williamsburg until this one -

Humble counter-serve with carry-out, delivery & a few eat-in tables specializing in sushi & sashimi.
Great service, amazing decorations, overall great staff. It took less than 10 minutes for our order to arrive, extremely fast service and overall welcoming atmosphere. Would come again !!

Great takeout — tasty food and good prices! We ordered takeout from Teriyaki One Japanese Grill and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The salmon teriyaki was perfectly cooked, the fried rice had great flavor, and the dumplings were crispy and full of taste. Portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable. The order was ready on time and packed neatly. Definitely a great spot for quick and tasty Japanese food — we’ll be ordering again soon!

Unpretentious eatery where chefs cook meat & seafood on hibachi grills, plus noodles, sushi & more.
I was excited to try the golden prawns on the menu which is supposed to be prawns stuffed with crab meat. Immediately wondered if it was imitation crab because I’m not a fan so I decided call and ask them. When I spoke to the lady on the phone she first told me yes it is imitation crab but then switched her answer to no saying it wasn’t. I asked her multiple times for clarity and she kept saying no it’s not imitation but if I wanted real crab meat she would charge $3 extra which is I why I aske

My friend and I went to Otani around 5:30pm on a Monday. I was shocked that there was a decent amount of people in the restaurant when I checked in, so I would recommend making a reservation. They are located at a lower level, which is nice because it provides a bit of waiting room. The interior has a fancier ambiance, with a mix of tables and cozy booths. We started with an order of harumaki ($6). I liked that they cut this up in halves, so it was easier to split. It had a nice natural flavor,
